I have read all statements and agree with Danik. Also there are several arguments in here that just cement the need for Flagship to be released.

Contract Shipping is another option that could be implemented for merchants. Perhaps a leaderboard of the most contracts fulfilled, most resources transported, most profit made. This would provide some "competition" perhaps amongst merchants.

Bmw wrote:maybe they should reduce the crates in the ports so that merchants have to fight over the resources that the port sells it would definitely make for tons of conflict in avonmora.

this will have an effect on all, also on those who aren't interesting in more action.

my proposal does not force action on the unwilling, but creates the opportunity for the eager to take advantage of a new feature which has an element of risk attached to it.

I can't find it right now. But wasn't there a post about Shipping Lanes. Had to do with competing for them I believe.

I keep seeing topics and posts calling for more fights and ships to make pirating better.
From my brief time here I notice the pirates pretty much run in a pack.
Instead of seeking ways to get the merchants fighting or getting flagships that
will outdo others fleets with better ships.
Seek to determine who is the best pirate amongst yourselves,
I find that more appealing.
I may resort to asking for a trade ship that invests 1 gold coin and it brings me a million back.
(for every level it gains it returns another million with a max of 20 million lol)
Thus eliminating this bothersome task of bettering myself manually. :))

Why on earth would I spend millions of gc worth of voodoo attempting to plunder a frigate from a pirate who has less than 50 ships?

If I recall, TPK thinks himself a pirate and I jacked his MoW. But that was worth the cost.

Pirates do raid eachother from time to time, but only if their target presents a profitable opportunity.. no, pirates are bad plunder targets mate.

the more MvM the better :)
but as i remember shipping lanes is about the option to travel faster with higher risk. that topic can be bumped if it can be found :).

Dmanwuzhere, this proposal has nothing to do with pirates, but every thing with merchants. it offers a way to make more profit.
this discussions fits in with the need for more capital ships since contracts can only be kept by defending the tradefleets.
please read up upon the flagship before you comment on it :) the flagship is not about outdoing other fleets. just like this thread is not about pirates.

Everything mentioned overlaps into every section. You can not change one iota of the game without it having an effect elsewhere. While your proposal appears to not be about pirates it does.
It is not my job to provide the big and small pictures and draw a correlation for you.
More ships provide more profits and that option already exists.
As for the flagship you can tell me one thing but I see otherwise.
Differing opinions are fine by me, as you have your motives and way of looking at things
and I mine.

Possibly but sailing the seas in another pirates prized frigate (or sloop) would be about bragging rights.
While I understand the need for profit as well I am just saying if the pirates grow bored cannibalism could cure that.

To sum my statements up is a simple task.
To those who have been here for years
I understand you have mastered the game.
You seek small things (in your minds)
to relieve the boredom.

But as a newcomer I have to say,
I have plenty to do and will for sometime to come.
While I am not accomplished and do not have everyones awe,
I do not seek the awe nor do I feel the need to
bear the brunt of your boredom.

If there are things you are not happy with
yet you endured them this long. (can't be to bad then)
Let me enjoy it as well without worrying about
even more obstacles to overcome.
