Daughters Ending Romance

If they are left alone, Daughters' mood drops to Angry but their romance rating seems to stick at 1%.

Would it be possible to keep dropping the romance rating so that at <1% they end the relationship, vanish from the Romance Stories list and have to be wooed from the start again? No big deal, just to keep the romances list clear of spurned Daughters.

In order to avoid more repetitive and tiresome gameplay, we have disapproved this suggestion, eventually.

To combat the inactivity-fame thing, we introduced the following:

1.6.18: King Fame Bonus and Romance Fame Bonus is only awarded to players having a daily cost (upkeep/tax) of at least 1 gold coin.


Players that have at least one ship, deserve the bonuses even if they are inactive. In this way, they raise attention of their ship status to the rest of the players.

That's what I was thinking. It would mean that on first wooing a Daughter one would have to get the romance rating to 2% or so before midnight or risk having to start again.

Also as well as ignoring Daughters I'd propose being able to Spurn one at a cost in Turns, ie reduce romance rating to 0, make them Angry, and kick them off the romances list. This would enable players to control the Fame gains made from romancing.

[RP] But remember, if you take them out once in a while to any of the fabulous RUM SWILLERS COVE (12 Locations to serve you) you and your date will be in the perfect loation for romance!

An option to remove a 0% relationship seems nice. I'll probably kick all plain daughters though. :mrgreen:

It seemed a small issue for me at first. However I spent a great deal thinking on it. I decided after much controversy with my own self to vote for this change. The main reason is that an inactive player will never stop earning fame from daughters as it is now (correct me if I am wrong). With this change this issue is fixed.

So +1 for this.

Do not underestimate the plain ones. They are "cheap" to maintain and they give a good share of fame.

I noticed 1% relationship earns player fame. I've managed to open all romance story a couple of days ago (most are still at 1%) and, yes, it boosts fame.
An option to (manually) remove daughters from romance stories might be useful in case a player with 0% relationship decide to start over (no need to sneak into daughter's room again).

Though I think once a Daughter has been cold-shouldered and is off the romance list, you should have to start again from scratch wooing her, otherwise it is too easy to drop them from the list and revive the romance at little cost in Turns.
