I could see the reasoning behind being able to deposit gold coin in your hideout bank as a pirate.

Being able to pull it out is debatable.

i dont get it.. why is using it as a safe so bad if it been paid for and built.

Personally, i dont think banks need a change for pirates. Pirates didnt operate a bank but did have access to use a bank.... should they want to take the risk in getting figured out.

Were a change should be if any is with burying treasure. If you have the black raised you should have a decrease in turn cost to bury or retrieve for sure, possibly even a slight advantage in the turn ratio as well when finding a porates treasure is concerned.

definitely agree with them having a boost to burying and recovering treasure, still stand by the fact that it doesn't make much sense that a pirate can't access their own vault, but it's not something I would say needs to be changed-just something I think should-but if the majority disagrees then I won't push it.

I would like to see this more than the bank change.

Currencies are a function of national stability and like wise most banks are tied to the nation under wich they operate so i feel the current system makes sense.


If banks did function for pirates.

Charter feature should have no effect.

Perhaphs

Pirates should be able to use manage any funds in their bank even specific by account.
If you have an account at a pirate bank, you must trust the
pirate as they should have the ability to steal your funds within 7 days or so of flying the black. This would mean a player cant just suddenly go black and rob you. You have a few days to remove any funds you might be concerned about.

Alternately all accounts except the pirates personal account are functionally locked.

less turns for buried treasure would be good.

i still dont understand why it cant be used like a safe.

As it is right now can the owners of the banks that I use take my money if they wanted to? Or just restrict access? How does that work?

If they can take it then it is similar to real life. Being a known criminal I would being taking a risk walking into a bank to do business. Maybe allow bank owners to charge a fee for laundering money or they can take it. A risk a pirate would have to take.

I like the idea of having a vault as well. Or not having access to banks at all. Store gold bars in ports, buy credits or burying it. Banks are handy for a pirate but almost too convenient. I don't really want to make things more difficult for a pirate, but I don't mind a little more realism in PG. I'm always for more realism.

They can restrict access (freeze) and use the money, but the value will always show that it was yours. Generally most bankers won't touch player funds even if frozen.
