Since we are disapproving this, let me list all the major reasons behind this decision.
1)We have to protect administration victims
A ban issued may be unfair. If a ban is visible, the victimized player will be exposed to poor reputation that is unfair to receive.
2)A ban is a case between administration and the player
By publishing it, we make it a pubic case where:
-The banned player knows exactly what happened, 100% of the time.
-Administration knows most of what happened, most of the time.
-The public has absolutely no idea, most of the time.
3)We have to protect the player
When we ban an account, we penalize the account and not the player. We do not want to penalize the player and by publishing his character ban we are harassing his reputation. Even in the case of a fair ban, we do believe that a player should have the chance to create a new character and play fairly without the burden of ill-treatment.
4)Banning and publishing is a double penalty
And it also limits the effectiveness of few days ban.
5)There are people who enjoy poor reputation
We do not want to add inceptive to such people who will cheat in order to find themselves in a top list (most probably because they can't do this in any other top list).
6)A banned account holds no burden for the game
We have received a report from a player when another banned player tried to farm his old account. We responded that any banned account can be treated as the players wish, even if one of the participants is the previous owner. Let us now forget that if administration does not want this to happen at first place, it can always remove all ships of the character (or voodoos or whatever we feel necessary) after banning it.
There are for sure many more reasons while there are for sure reasons for the opposite. We are open to hear but unwilling to comply. However, this not a final decision and could be revised in the future based on discussion in this topic. Any future topics opened for this case, will be merged here.
