-There is an in-game Help file for this feature. If it is insufficient, please ask for clarification at the Help forums. This topic might contain outdated info.-

Ahoy all,

We thought of yet another King perk.

ENEMY OF THE CROWN

The good things about this idea are:
-Historically correct - very important
-Can run alongside with Letter of the Marque
-Can serve the multiplayer nature of our game
-Makes the King position the MOST desirable one.

How it works?
-The King of a nation can name any players as an Enemy of the Crown.
-Enemies of the Crown grant Honor points with the issuing nation on hit with any method (plunder, skirmish, aggressive voodoo).
-Enemies of the Crown do not trigger any Hostility penalties from the issuing nation.

No target restrictions!
-As long as the King retains his Rightful Position (must be King AND Rightful), his selected list of targets, are active. If the King loses his Rightful Position, then the list is rendered inactive and all named Enemies of the Crown are no longer such.
-Enemies of the Crown list, are publicly announced through the Nation page.

Validity Restrictions
A player is a valid Enemy of the Crown (EotC) only when the target player:

1.Same Nationality Restriction
-Is member of the same nation with the King who has named them.

============This are not implemented yet / might not be implemented at all eventually==================================
2.Activity Restriction
-Is active (system-determined activity -> strict)

3.Non-Newcomer Restriction
-Has spent at least 3,000 turns

Think it should be hostility based, too.

For example if I attack Kangroo and he gets pissed; he can just put me down as a enemy of spain. With only 250 Hostility (Lets say I attacked him 25 times) - Sorry about using you as an example, but just an example.

Think the min hostility should be 500.

Why put hostility as a requirement? This will limit the power of the King.
This is mostly for internal enemies though.

For external enemies we should use Letter of the Marque. Check the final paragraph above (Diversification)

This makes hostile take-over from within a lot harder though, which is what it should be, as a king can't just be overthrown by spending money usually.

I like it CJ

Being as they are an enemy of the crown, would there be a restriction to them reaching the council? It would seem that if they are an enemy of the crown that they wouldn't be allowed on the King's Council.
