[Implemented] Governor's something for female players

Postby Eirian » Sun May 06, 2012 12:44 pm

ok, further discussions about the governor's sons, nephew, town guard and whatever else anyone can think of will be posted here :) myself and another female player Talyn have already got some ideas in the "governor's daughters" topic , if you want to view them through this link:

viewtopic.php?f=4&t=222&start=20

Basically, we've wrestled up a basic plan to get rid of another relative altogether and just leave the governor alone ;) who says he's gotta be old right?

now, we just need some opinions about how to describe these lucky men who will be fortunate enough to marry the apparently limited number of crazy, sword wielding women in this game :D

oh, and actions. Talyn asks: what's the point of going out walking with them and giving them presents?

feel free to join in the discussion mateys

so, daughters: 'plain, cute, lovely, gorgeous, exquisite'
male counterpart: 'plain ..... ' <- plain stays as it acts like a standard for comparison

actions with issues:
1. take him for a walk <- would any of PG's own real, manly men really expect to be taken for a walk?
and
2. bring him to the ballroom <- may be acceptable... what do you think, guys?

Sons: plain; manly; handsome; dashing; breathtaking.

Compliment.
Tell him a joke.
Blow him a kiss.
Flirt.
Talk with him.
Give him a ribbon.
Walk out with him.
Admire his achievements.
Invite him to the Governor's Ball.
Accept his hand in marriage.

This sticks to the original formula but seems a bit passive for a swashbuckling Lady Pirate. What would Maureen O'Hara have done?

there is a conflict of interest between handsome and dashing.... both are great, but which is better? :)

and manly is.....just strange. it's not exactly a step up from plain. what about a manly guy who looks plain? vs a wimp who look plain etc... :geek:

I suddenly thought of enigmatic, charismatic etc. do we really have to judge them based on looks?

rice cracker, biscuit, cookie, cake etc :D
oh, and chocolate
truffles
ice cream

Give him a ribbon. = what? :?:
Walk out with him. = what?? :|

Ribbon, as in a memento, keepsake, favour to wear in his hat or whatever.
"Walk out with him", a bit old-fashioned, maybe just "walk with him" after all.

Invite him to the Governor's Ball. = if he is the governor or the governor's son or other relative, shouldn't he do the inviting?

True, I'm losing the plot here. "Accompany him"?
