All based on case studies.

Total Time needed review:
About 1 year of time will be needed for most players in order to finish all 12 initial technologies (11 techs min time, without any hastening, sums up to about 332 days. Plus about some more for Loan Shark, we will get to 365 days OR about 30 days per technology). The total required time is judged as low but we will leave this as that as this is only possible if you have a lvl 20 Academy AND a level 20 Education from early on. A step that few players might eventually take.

Total Gold Needed review:
1.12 Billion for 11 Techs or about 100M per tech. The costs are based on case studies so there is nothing much to review. Certainly, the feature will not act as a Gold Sinker but it will surely help in the game economy.


Total Gold Bars needed review:
383k for 11 techs or about 35k per technology.
In comparison, the most expensive building in terms of Gold Bars is a level 20 Bank which requires 912k gold bars.
Therefore the overall demand on Gold Bars is judged as low. It will still be enough to maintain gold bars prices at current levels in the long term. In the short term, the gold bars price will skyrocket as there is not enough gold stored in Avonmora right now to support the demand. It is still a good time to create a goldsmith.

Updated above all final pricing details. We will only change figures there based on feedback. Please, if anything seems weird to you or too expensive or too cheap, let us know. We only have like 2 days max left for the official release of the Academy and we are clearly running out of time - we would prefer to avoid price changes later anyway.

We are almost done development-wise. Which means that the feature might be released tomorrow. What we are currently waiting are two remaining artworks for 2 technologies.

As I said above, Loan Shark will not be released alongside with the rest of the techs as:
-There are still some details to iron out for it. No feedback has been received in the public forums.

Suggestion: Can we add Engineer/architect that reduces building time and costs and adds more attributes to ships? Also, how about accountant and financial advisor that can help you with loans, trade routes,....etc on top of reducing building and upkeep costs?

That sounds like a player service I saw advertised by FOX and HELM quite a while ago. Players can provide advice on daily trade routes, loans and market prices.

I also would like an engineer tech that could increase the chance for 5 attribute points per upgrade. That way if I get the ship building tech then an engineer tech would be even better. I'm sure it would be quite an investment but it would be worth designating a guildmate to be the Shipmaster and commandeer/sell on the market.

Checking that changelog, hoping for the Academy update!!! We're ready Captain Jack! :D

What about Port Spy! or it can even be a voodoo card that tells you the happenings in the port, who came, who left, plunder board,...
