It will act on top of final speed, just like Favorable Winds work.
It will add up with Favorable winds bonus.

Favorable winds give +50% when 5 are used. With the technology it will be 50% + 30% = 80% in total.


We would like to share some information on development. We are on the final stage. I want to inform you that it is a big feature as we are adding functionality to the base game. Technologies are nothing like anything we already have. So, except from the added hideout functionality, we have added functionality for each technology and we have 12 starting technologies. It is a huge feature.

Our ambition in this month is to release 3 big things. The first, the graphical update for Hideout has already been done. The second, is the academy and we will possibly make it. We have one more feature that we want to add which is also very big. We have been working on this and we wanted to release it in April as well. Right now, it is not certain we will make it but we will try it. ;)

Excellent thank you for confirming - I can begin factoring it into my calculations accordingly :).

Also do we have a ball park total cost for researching Warehouse Tycoon up to lvl 20?
I note that on the technology cost page it is as yet not a finished value based on previous posts.

We need some of user input for the costs. This is really what is mostly left; pricing

If the pricing is related to hiring at a basic level then I vote for low prices. If basic hire is fine and you just get levels/degrees for your crew, then I guess I am OK with the suggested pricing. Overall, I think hideout prices are too expensive and very time consuming.

multiply the first 3 by 2 ,3,4 and 5, apply them two each two respectively and I think it is good

i have to agree with you on this i've been here a few months and im doing good but i think a hideout will take me a while longer to get the hideout but considering where i stand and the guild im in it seems to have a few problems with me earning money

Quick question on the following tech and th gunpowder one too


9.Metallurgy
+2.5% per level bonus on Iron Scantling (Armor Class)
(ie, a level 20 Metallurgy will be like having 15 points at Iron Scantling)


If a ship has 0 points spent in iron scantling would it still receive the extra 5 points bonus at max Ievel or is the bonus percentage only applied to the current amount of points invested in that attribute?

The +5 points are an example on a 10point attribute. The bonus will be percentage based. So, 0 points at Iron Scantling will mean 0% bonus.

These techs will improve the importance of both round shot and iron scantling that some ships currently need.
