making the system limited to king an council only might be a solution.

I think you're right. It would be nice for council to mass message nation but perhaps be limited to once every 24 hours. The reason I say that I think is USA specific issue. I try to catch a lot of new players coming in and help out but we have so many inactives it becomes laborious following up with everyone.

Do the boards help at all? I am not saying as an argument. I am just interested with whatever has to do with newcomers and it just happens that the majority of new players to join under the US flag.

Well, i am a newcomer and i don't really see what they do. i am in spain and basically all that is there is one post of the same 4 or 5 people posting whenever they spend gold coins on building up a port. i am sure there is probably more to it than that, but they aren't helpful to me at all right now

Actually CJ, in Spain, we have in the past, more than one time and probably, in the future, have needed to msg select Council.
I know one can make a restricted forum post, however that failed as well in regards to security and we had to resort to individual PM's to TRUSTED council (council was breached by usurpers).
If someone spams me with too many silly msgs, I have no problems telling them to lay off but jumping around copy/pasting the same msg to all council but one or two is also a bit of a click fest.

Thanks for the update !

I am not turning that down. Especially now, it is easier for us to implement this as we have the routines ready. I am just trying to understand the necessity.

This is part of the reason why. While nation forums can be used to restrict viewing, there is a hard limit to topics and it doesn't prevent players from reaching the appropriate rank and seeing the discussion. Private discussions that need to take place between more than 2 people are a severe nuisance.

In my opinion, it would be better if Inbox Messages allowed multiple recipients, just like a regular email box. Although having a nation mass messaging system would be helpful in nation wars and conflict.

Perhaps the ability to mass message anyone from a certain rank and upwards, selectively could work best.

J. Price, nations tend to be less hospitable than guilds. Have you got a guild? If not, just post in Union of Honor and I am sure you will receive plenty of invitations.

The boards are good, but I am just in the dark as to how many people read them. We have some that don't talk much in national forums but will respond to direct messages, that is where my thinking comes from.

With so many joining under the USA flag it's in the national interest and game interest to try and engage them and help them get started and retain their interest.
