Hello all,

Nice intro I got there

Regarding recent times...

It has been a bit boring with NewB before a few weeks, as I was the only one experienced in the guild - and this can be a bit tedious at times.
But now... Sir Henry Morgan and Cpt Dungeness joined a common cause with me (two great players which I respect a lot) . Together we are trying to create a solid guild entirely by new recruits.

It is going very good till now and we are building up a good friendship which only makes it better. ;)

That's good. I've always been a fan of any guild you create and liked working with you, maybe some day when I have the experience, I can follow in the same footsteps. You are clearly a player I have a lot of respect for and in fact, my first guild master here in the game. Actually, one of the things that made me join was looking at the screenshots of your account and that got me really interested in playing :). A player of your experience has clearly been around a while, but how long have you been playing?

hehe.. I remember you in your early days. You were pretty active and asking a lot. You also had too much energy. PK was my first guild and it was again a foundation of three leaders (like now in HELM): Myself, Hellfire and Light. Light went inactive pretty fast but Hellfire sticked with me. In NewB I was alone since the start and this played the most important factor for a dissapointing turnout in the end; Hear my advice and if you are an experienced player, don't start a new guild on your own.

I have played in the first server with another account, but only a little bit. I joined again in early 2011. It was relatively late for "Eternal Glory" ( my id is 4921, Skyhawk's is 2708 and Cpt Dungeness who finished 1st in the first server is 3397).

The game up early was a bit boring and I have not started playing seriously till Voodoo cards launch. After that, there has been a moment I was close to retirement but someone attacked me (I don't remember who) and it got interesting for me again. I came close to retirement one more time, while on NewB, but eventually new features kept me here. I can tell that currently I am having a great time in the game, comparable to my days in PK, which were undoubtfully the best.

Ha, I was really full of energy and that cost me some ranks early on, I never actually lost that energy, but you guys guided me and I just learned to control it more. Both you and Hellfire were great influences on my growths through the game, and PK definitely provided me my greatest times in the game. So, what was your first challenge or sort of enemy in the game? I remember I joined PK at the very end of you guys attacking General Grasshopper with leviathans, but I noticed there were more war forums that were there way before me.

The first challenge was Cpt Dungeness if I am not mistaken. He attacked me first (I never attack first actually). It was early voodoo time and Cpt Dungeness did not have as many voodoo as I had so the war ended fast. I remember Zuzik was among the first to be destroyed with voodoo but I do not remember if we fought each other.

I think Grasshopper was after that - Grasshoper was the first real pirate (he still is q pirate but he is inactive- too bad, he has got a great character number). I did not enjoy so much of a participation with him, but I ensured that his 1-ship fleet (ship of the line) was devastated by (my) Call Leviathans to the sea bottom (this 1 SoL strategy is irritating - still viable).

The real challenge was the war vs Xep/SGT Blue/Lord Rahl where I lost 4 of my 5 fleets with SoLs. Quite devastating. Xep had the strongest fleet at that time, Lord Rahl had tons of voodoo (he still has) and SGT Blue improved considerably during the war.

Acadien was a headache too but I am getting out of the question by far already.

I never knew that you and Cpt. Dungeness ever fought, you seem like such great friends now. I remember though the conflict with SGT Blue, Xep, and Lord Rahl, isn't that war the cause of you leaving PK? To make sure that we weren't affected by the war.

There was a clash but since we already had PK that time, if I remember well, it was a collective effort against him, although mainly myself. We have been on good terms since then and we are building a friendship now.

Regarding the question, the answer is yes; this was the main reason. I think I have even wrote a guild announcement on the reasons of my leave (I would be interestedd to see this if any PK member can send it- I want to refresh my memory). You were still part of PK that time, correct?

SGT Blue was a former PK member and Lord Rahl seemed a bit uncontrollable with voodoo. They could pose a threat in stirring controversy within the guild or crash undefended pk members. Besides this, there were many PK members that wanted to help me (I remember you helped me a bit back then) but I did not want to get them engaged in the war; the war was dragging on and could drag a lot more if I continued to lead the guild.

In fact, I was ready to go Pirate and keep fighting as I had no hint it would end anytime soon. For this strategy to work out, I needed to be alone. Eventually, peace came sooner than I thought.

Beside this, which was the main reason, there was one more reason for leaving which was secondary but also played a role. PK was growing and as the name suggested, it was growing into an offensive guild. While I was used in leading top guilds in other games, my guilds were never the offensive type. They were fighting for top but they were the "attack on provoke" type. So I was starting to feel that I was holding down the guild's potential as my mentality was not the mentality that the guild needed. I think that the events that followed till now, certify this feeling I had back then.

Yes I was still in PK at that time. At the time I was a Deck Officer and SGT Blue was then named Poppet. He was actually in my deck officer squad so I was supposed to be responsible for his activities. I didn't save the announcement unfortunately so I'm afraid it may be lost to time. I think you made a forum though and that still exist, or should exist. I still to this day take responsibility for SGT Blues actions, I remember a newb attacked him with a curse or something and he completely obliterated everything the the new player had. That was considered unethical, and sparked conflicts when Blue was questioned, he had a very short temper.

The effects of you leaving the guild were very very strong, but Hellfire really did step up, and guide the guild out of that dangerous situation and keep us away from the war. He made this one announcement, it was short, but powerful, and it was the moment that we knew, the guild was in great hands. The guild did become more aggressive, and we grew this way. One thing that I regret, is my own pushes for the new direction of PK once I became 3rd in command behind Luffy. After our war with The Royal Navy (now TMN), it really did define, what the new PK was. First use of spies came along, PK had certified itself as a truly pirate guild, and one not to be messed with. If you were looking on at us while you were away, what was your opinion of the guild?
