Any ideas

Good day to all of you. I have noticed a problem as of late.
I have lost six million fame in just the past few weeks. While this really isn't a big deal, the reason for the loss is.
So there are less merchants lately it seems, and all it takes is two hostel natives voodoo, me having to be at work or with family and I loose 10+ Million Dollars (the cash taken by plunder and the money it takes to fix my ships) plus I loose an hour+ of time to go through all my ships.
Now I know there are some that say, its part of the game and your right, but I really would like you all to think that, sure you may only tag a player once a week, but what about the other people that only tag that person once a week.
Its so easy for merchants to loose everything they have worked for with two hostel natives. At this point i have stopped spending real money, I have stopped running plantations, and I just wait to see the 120 messages waiting on my news stream to let me know that all my hard work the past week is gone.
I know this isn't Merchants glory, and maybe that's the answer, to just become a pirate, but I enjoy building stuff up, and dont mind a some attacks, but all it takes are two hostel natives and the world can bring fire on me.
Is there a way to take some of the heat off? Maybe hostile natives are only available for x amount of hits by that player, or there can be a cool off period? Something? anything? Anyone?
