Decree of Liberty

Avonmora Day 2,025-
Pirates, Merchants, Avonmorans, lend me your ears;
I come to mourn free will, not to praise it.
The evil that men do lives after them;
The good is oft interred with their bones;
So let it be with TKP. The common man
Hath told you they are benevolent:
If it were so, it was a grievous fault,
And grievously hath they answer’d it.
Here, under leave of Phoenix and the rest–
For Phoenix is an honourable man;
So are they all, all honourable men–
Come I to speak in the common man's funeral.
You are my friends, faithful and just to me:
But Phoenix says you are toxic;
And Phoenix is an honourable man.
He hath brought many forces home to the guild
Whose ransoms did the bounties fill:
Did this in the others seem toxic?
When our mates have been afflicted, we hath wept:
Toxicity should be more strongly defined:
Yet Phoenix says we are all toxic;
And Phoenix is an honourable man.
You all did see that upon the seas
They have all been accused of toxic underdealings:
Which they did all refuse: was this toxic?
Yet Phoenix says we are toxic;
And, sure, he is an honourable man.
I speak not to disprove what Phoenix spoke,
But here I am to speak what I do know.
You all did love one another once, not without cause:
What cause withholds you then, to not repel oppression?
O judgment! thou art fled to a guise of morality,
And men have lost their reason.

Why does this reminds me of Julius Caesar? :D

I love the name of honor, more than I fear death.

I am prepared to resort to anything, to submit to anything, for the sake of the commonwealth.

The die is cast.

When one with honeyed words but evil mind
Persuades the mob, great woes befall the state.

As Avonmora, we began by declaring that 'all men are created equal.' We now practically read it 'all men are created equal, except pirates.' When the Know-Nothings get control, it will read 'all men are created equal, except pirates, privateers, and voodoo casters.' When it comes to this I should prefer emigrating to some country where they make no pretense of loving liberty – to Russia, for instance, where despotism can be taken pure, and without the base alloy of hypocrisy. :beer

I love the fact that you choose to single me out. I don’t recall saying that you are toxic. All I said is that I disagree with a play style some players adopted because it is hurting the game.
Some agreed, some disagreed.

I normally abstain from being involved in fueds or war and act as a neutral mediator.
That has not changed and I would love to do nothing expect go back to do that and end this.
I have no desire to be involved with nation to nation conflict and would love nothing more but to see everyone in TKP go back to their home guild.

You want to cry foul play, that is your right. Not going to stop you. I am just wondering really why you choose me since I have said nothing against you Xavier as you call yourself now.

Note that I am not bringing your history into discussion as I would like to believe that you yourself are taking a different note. Don’t drag me to a fight between you and Spain and a fight for all I know you started.

Not being a free entity is the cause of that.
One day when you are not a puppet and you are your own, without guidance from one who wishes you to have no mind, you will :beer

Alright well. Once we get comps for damages, minus 9 million for the stipends that Spain so desperately desires, of course, the quotes of Caesar will cease.
