Hello everybody here like I promised is the next RP which is going to be a bit different then the past ones. This RP will be taking place in Regis 13 years before Jack took it over in a previous RP. The rules are mostly the same.
1. Try to keep things in character. Don't post something unrelated to the RP here. If you don't like this RP, don't complain about it here. Post a new thread or start your own RP thread if you don't like this one. I would actually be quite happy if someone posts a RP of their own so please feel free to do so.
2. You can control your characters actions-You can not control others. NPC's are fair game and anyone can control them, so long as its believable and in character. A guard for example shouldn't just up and decide to shoot an orphan for no reason-that is out of character. Anyone without a name will be considered a NPC.
3. You are allowed to have multiple characters- but be reasonable. Don't flood the story with a bunch of your characters. 2 or 3 in one story is fine, anything past that is sort of pushing it unless you are really good at managing them.
4. Use Italics for actions, and try to separate things nice and neat. Also use paragraphs when needed.
5. Since this RP is taking place 13 years ago if your character was involved in any of the past RP's you need to scale their age back. For example my main character Ellen is 25 at present. So if I were to use her in this story(though I don't plan to) I would need to use her as a 12 year old.
6. The most important rule- Have fun.
The realism in this RP will be another mostly unrealistic one. It is a scale of 4-as in not very realistic at all.

In the port of Regis, a large celebration is being held, the governor has just married, and has decided that to celebrate the occasion he would throw a nice party in the port, importing quite a bit of rum from nearby Pania, and feeling generous he even donated a large sum to help upgrade the local Panselo orphanage, much to the delight of the head nun in charge of the place, a old kind woman by the name of Abigale. Many people have gathered to party, drink and be merry. The local tavern is bustling with patrons, sailors, and pirates alike have joined in the festivities, making the bartender and the barmaids very busy with all the customers. Even Abigale has decided to partake in some drinks, as she sits in the bar sipping some rum while smiling at all the happy people around her. She says to a young lady next to her.
Isn't this quite nice, so much joy and merriment. It warms this old heart of mine.
The young woman sighs.
A bit too happy honestly, I bet the governor's wife will be seeing another man within the week.
Abigale shakes her head.
Honestly Veera you are much to cynical for a girl your age. Have some fun, and look on the bright side for once.
Abigale continues to drink and watch the other patrons celebrate.

A sloop of decent firepower carrying tweleve cannons sails into port. It is flying no colors. The small ship docks and its crew of 40 people walk into the city. There is something different about them though, the oldest of them being no older than 17! The young sailors, who are better armed than most people in the port, are lead by a young man of 17 years, who is the only of the 40 people to carry a sword, a rusty old cutlass hangs on his side. His clothing is nice but old, dirty, and filled with brine. The feather surrounding the top of his tricorne are mostly fallen out, this buckled shoes look extremely worn and dirty, his face is handsome, his hair is long and greasy, he walks with a drunken swagger and a scowl. He walks into the tavern and his face brightens at the prospect of rum. He walks over to the bar and sits down.
One round of rum, if ye please.

The bartender goes to fill the mug, only for no rum to come out, he growls and turns to the man.
Gonna be a bit of a wait, gotta go into the bleedin cellar and bring up a new bleedin casket.
He starts heading into the cellar as he grumbles and curses. Abigale chuckles softly.
Ah, old Bernard always such a grump. I wonder if your attitude comes from hanging around this pub Veera.
Veera rolls her eyes and scowls.
As if i would be influenced by an old imbecile like him.
The nun shakes her head again.
Honestly Veera, you really need to stop being such a cynic. Your young with your whole life ahead of you, be more positive, like that young man who just walked in.

A boy and his friends join in the celebration, while not being used to rum, ale will do for now

Abigale, despite her old appearance and frail looking body moves surprisingly fast and agile as she swipes all the ale from the boys and handing them to a barmaid before turning to them and saying in a strict yet motherly tone.
Now you young lads are a bit too young to be drinking, I don't recognize you as orphans from Panselo, so you should run home to your parents. This may be a joyous occasion but there are dangerous people who come in here, and a group of young drunk boys would be very easy targets for them to rob.
Veera seeing this actually laughs-though it is a very dark sadistic laugh, that causes a few men to move away from her.
Aw, looks like the little boys are being scolded. I do so love a bit of misery in spite of all this happiness.

Jack sits and impatiently drums his fingers on the table. He spies about the room, and seeing the young woman and the nun he walks over and sits near them. He grins, revealing his not so good teeth.
Now, what would a nun and a woman such as yourself doing in a place like this? Eh?

Abigale chuckles at the young man.
Well you see, as a nun I took certain vows, but none of them said anything about not being able to have the occasional drink-I mean after all we use wine for the blood of Christ, so why shouldn't I be able to enjoy the occasional mug of rum. As for the young lady here, I'm making sure she doesn't get into any trouble, and trying to get her to lighten up.
Veera rolls her eyes.
I don't see how you can be happy with the majority of the town acting drunk and stupid. Well I suppose they always act stupid, so its not that different really.
Abigale shakes her head.
As you can see i am not having much luck in getting her to cheer up.

Jack lets out a small chuckle
What's the matter lass? What's got you so down?
Jack looks around him.
Where's me rum? Oi, barman, could you hurry it up please?

The children frown and leave the bar, while no one noticed, one pocketed a bottle of ale
