Idea for the community:

Capture the flag style game between guilds.

Each guild makes a SOTL.
The guild then has lets say 6 active players that can hold the SOTL, the SOTL must always be in a fleet, so it can try and be capped. The goal would be to try and get 6+ guilds to take part in the capturing of each others SOTLS and the already capped SOTLS. Each capture is worth a set number of points and if a guild keeps their original SOTL it is worth another set of points.

Prize would be based on groups paying into play the game.

Interesting. I am sure VUDU could be persuaded to participate in such an endeavor.

Sounds fun until someone gets greedy and takes other stuff from someone or just takes the sotls and sells them or something. I can see some LEEEERRRROOOOYYYY JEEEENNNNKKKIIIIIINNNNNSSSSSS type shenanigans coming from this.

I would think it would need to have some rules of some sort so that way it doesn't get out of hand and create issues. Also I think only having limited number of people on a team per guild is a benefit that way guilds of all sizes can take part.

Agreed. Plus lets be honest here, there isn't that many of us, I would hope we could all be ladies and gentlemen about things.

For sure, I would saying anything in the fleet protecting the SOTL would obviously have to be fair game, but if the person has other ships it should be agreed that after the cap was done, toss a few gennies on them to cover their true assets

I was thinking about it today, not a lot of new players know how to cap a ship in under 5 minutes with purses at a certain point, plus it is fun to go head to head with others in battle and it would be fun to fight each other in a way where you don't get pissed off with each other and make a 2 month long war.
