Naval Combat Strike!!

After much deliberation, I have come to the conclusion that the devs are focused on the trading, political, and all around farm style of play lately as the plunders and naval action must be satisfactory to them. Perhaps, but combat is boring! It's vanilla and never changes!

We need a complex battle system. One that incorporates skill, strategy, knowledge, and experience! We need ship abilities, flagships, and a reason to fight! Ways to war as nations involving the exchange of cannonballs not conspiracy cards! There is over 44 billion :gc: in Avonmora and this continues to rise daily, is there not enough trade and ways to profit? Wars and battles of a complex nature spark entertainment and the willingness to deposit coin for the cause!

If this shenanigans continues I move that we evoke an Avonmora wide "Naval Strike!" cease all cannon fire, plunders, skirmishes, raids and petty squabbling! Lay down our swords and stand firm plowing and tilling our fields of dirt! If there is no action and we push the boundaries of boredom that must be cause for a change, right?




...... ah who the hell am i kidding, I aint layin down me sword for no sandbox. :pirateflag

If you wanna help make voodoo suggestions or join me in my new ability plan, we can prolly make a likable battle plan ;)

Abilities etc sounds great,

voodoo... no thanks. We need mechanics not magic cards, we have plenty of those and they've sucked the game dry as far as i am concerned. Its too easy to do anything with cards.

100% agree. cards need very little strategy. I would be happy to eliminate half of them and put in real game mechanics.

+1 Certainly room for some voodoo cards to spice things up a bit, but less cards and more real game mechanics would be preferred.

Alas I fear we have strayed from the point I was trying to make..

Too much focus on cow milking and plowing when Seafaring and Combat based complexity need be addressed!

I 100% agree with you Vane.

I also know admin is busy with a new major update coming in September. My only hope is after that update is that more focus on naval combat occurs.

Vane is a bit slow on the uptake.

I found that they are more focused on Gold burners and that ages ago.

Everyone is bored, Vane, but in their own particular way. You may have squeezed out every last drop of interest from this, or that, aspect of the game, but others have yet to travel those paths of wonder. Yeah, we all end up at the same destination of Ennui Central, but not all on the same train.

I remember when I started playing PG, Avery mentioned something like 'Pirates Glory is more like Merchants Glory'. :P
