We've seen Pirates Glory grow from a simple voodoo-less trading game to the awesome game it is today. With all the new features and the new suggestions/announcements I'm trying to remember what the game is all about. What I love about PG is that it's a complicated game that can't easily be summed up, but like all things in the world its identity can be articulated given a little thought and it won't be the same for everyone!

If you had 3 sentences to describe Pirates Glory, what would you say? What is The Heart of Pirates Glory?

I'd love to hear what people think and what they consider to be the identity and heart of Pirates Glory.

Time Consuming.

I am sure loads of players agree...

- A game that requires intelligence for you to grow IE: Whether its taking more Ships to getting tons of Merchant ships
- A game you can accomplish anything, if you put your mind to it. IE: PhoenixKnight making Egypt a 'standing' nation, I remember when he was a nobody.
- A game with many paths. IE: Merchants, Pirates, Privateers, Goldsmith, Bankers... ETC.

Dedication. Preparation. Determination.

Why?

The very core of the game is voodoo casting, as long as you have voodoo, you can do almost anything.

A dare to dream, a dream to dare as he stands upon the salty, slippery deck.

The skull and cross bones flew from the pirate ships mast as it chases the sun across the sky to find that treasure chest of gold.

My days are filled with monotony, I can stand it no longer, I must play Pirates Glory to satisfy my plunder hunger.

pg is a fun game that is mostly about longterm planning but with burst of quick action when the opportunity arises. it's a community that is committed to make the game better and enjoys payer interaction and it is a place where you can you can, by the strength of your mind and guts, become anything you want.

Whether spending your time tradin or pirating, there is room for all, except yer land lubbers!

A game that you get out of it what you put into it.
You can play any role. "any". Some make up new roles which is great
Wealth is not calculated by how much gold you have, but buy how much fun you get from the game.

A time intensive, multifaceted strategy game of intellect for 17th Century Pirate and Merchant Enthusiasts. A game that is turning into Voodoo Glory, where voodoo cards matter more than battle fleet and trade strategy. A game where pirates complain and call it Merchant's Glory.
