Ok ye sea dogs... You asked for it so here it is. We have 5 "Captains" from 5 different guilds. (don't be sad its not you, we may do this again) These 5 gentlemen who will be drafting are:

Here are the rules: These 5 fine sailors will each take turns picking an ACTIVE member of the game who they think is one of the best or who they think would help them in a guild/team like setting the most. Any ACTIVE member is fair game. Once that player has been selected they may not be drafted again by one of the captains. The roster size is only 10 members. (don't get your panties in a bunch if you are not selected, this is just for fun). Once all 5 have picked their 10 sailor rosters, I will start a new thread with FINALIZED TEAMS. Here all of AVONMORA will VOTE on who they think selected the best team. I will let the voting occur over a 5 day period. The winner will be the one with the most votes. I will award that winner with $10,000,000 shiny gold coins from my own chest!

This will be a SERPENTINE DRAFT. Meaning, 1 goes first through 5, but then 5 picks again and goes back to 1 then 1 picks again and goes back to 5. Savvy? (1,2,3,4,5,5,4,3,2,1,1,2,3,4,5,5,4,3,2,1...)

Aye, the first pick is the hardest - ye hope your next picks be around when it gets back to ye - but I'll give it go. The team needs honor, respect and chivalry to play the long game, and not be afraid to put it the cannon to it when the time arises. One who's been around the horn and back that can read the skies of Avonmora better than anyone I know...

...my first round pick would be:

Black Sparrow

This is going to be a big surprise to everyone. As part of a team you need someone who can do it all and is afraid of nothing.

I believe the individuals I have chosen have a lost of history behind there back, for example when Rolando was around, he had his own Play style and captured many MoW's. Whereas Black Sparrow was the first person to form a guild, and is a true warrior safe to say he can defleet someone in a hour. Tom Lowe, he has been known for his wars in Avonmora; Against DTT and how he has been working on his own. Kart as a Merchant - To me he has not got as much history as these folks however; He is a grand merchant. Sir Henry Morgan, a Privateer that has been here for years - Not one to be toyed with or that can be wiped easily.

One of the most important aspects in choosing a team is respect. Shown by John Avery's need for attention above, he has none. Shadowood clearly mentioned his desire to keep this thread clean. For this reason he would make a poor addition to any "team environment".

Some very good picks to get this great and unique event off and running. With some of the choices gone it still be a difficult choice as there are so many great players left in the pot.

For reasons of experience, game knowledge, and skill in diverse roles as he has played many, my 1st round pick will be...

A very long standing player, who has contributed to both game features/mechanics and pirate strategies/tactics. Known for also creating a one of a kind, first, and only guild of mercenaries hired to do the dirty work! Nothing but benefits having the connections and resources of a mercenary guild at your teams disposal!

My 2nd round pick will be..

Edit: I missed a description and reason for this pick earlier as I was on mobile. Skyhawk surely deserves some words!

I congratulate Phoenix on his two choices as one of those two were going to be my next pick. I want someone on my team that understands finances. Someone who can think numbers and can analyze the situations we will have in front of us. I want someone who can also earn gold and help finance things to come.
