Just a small poll to see if the articles have been interesting to you. Till we implement an in-herald rating interface, we will use the forums for such feedback.

So, rate content till now and if you want, post here explaining us what kind of content you would prefer.

i think it would be wise to make several adjustments. however the basic interface, and the solicitation of content makes for an awesome start. im kinda assuming the document will grow, with as many pages of strong content as possible.. and that could be really cool.

just a suggestion, sorta like the ABC news posted apparent gibberish "gold bars dumped around X" i think it would be cool for articles like that, announcing mini events, that to show up from time to time, ideally daily. for example gold bars dumped around X could correspond to admin generated bars appearing on the market, or even cooler stuff like semi-piloted NPCs running around with fat loot for whoever manages to get'im first.

im pretty sure that people would get all over the herald if it looked like that.

also user generated content, if there has been any ought be named stamped as "contributor" etc

The page could also grow with interviews. Let's say i made a raid. Go ahead and ask me what are my real reasons, what traumatic experience i had in my childhood and lead me to that path? silly stuff like that

Come on SR it was an exaple i don't like the lights of publicity. The writer could send a message and make the questions. Whatever the aswers are he can put in some "the" some "and" and lot of DUST and post an interview. Like all News do. It could be intresting. Saying things that i didn't say. causing some drama maybe. or he can just put the answers straight as have been told.

What's happening with Avonmora Herald?
I am a passionate reader of the Herald, but, not only, it is late with reports (6 days), but gives some repeated ( IS BERMUDA TOP-HEAVY?) and some incorrect. I follow regularly battles in all ports, so... I don't think that ''Waters are peaceful''...

The Bermuda story isn't a repeat, but you might have read it before because I also posted it to XYZ News. Why it took the Herald so long to publish, I don't know.

Certainly, the Herald isn't as good a read as it was before it was decided not to have journalists. Some have been put off from submitting articles. The automatically generated stories on game stats are a little dull.

There is no automatic generated content yet.
No one is stopping anyone from submitting articles.

I cannot believe that the journalist title is to blame for few articles submission. This problem existed before we dropped the idea.

It is dedication that matters and it is hard to find the dedication required for such a position. This is why journalists were dropped, because most of the content was generated by administration while we needed it to be generated by journalists. The gap was big. I do not believe that having someone over you pressing you for articles is what we picture for the herald and if this is the only way to get constant articles, we do not want it.

Herald will assume daily release once automatic scripts are ready. We better use our development time into creating the scripts and game features than generating content. Unless there are enough player articles, we will issue spontaneously according to what we spot (which is surely less than what players spot). Which means that the only way to get daily issues again till automatic is out, is for us to get more user articles. Diplomatist article after all, was the only one to get in one week.

I hope that you will finish creating the scripts soon and to have more enthusiastic journalist to enrich reports.
