Kaipur watches as the Kraken begins grabbing various objects and begins chucking them at the hideout. Thankfully most of the projectiles it throws misses due to the wind and rain altering its path and blocking the Kraken's view somewhat, though what does hit does some damage to the building. Kaipur shouts.

We should probably start thinking up a backup plan. At this rate it will be able to hit us directly in about an hour if the rain doesn't let up. And to be honest at this point i am fairly certain this isn't natural rain, it must be some sort of voodoo curse. So anyone has any ideas on how to escape or kill this thing, or pacify it. I don't care which so long as it doesn't kill us.

John grabs Kaipur by the shoulder

Keep calm. Panic will only make things worse. There is a way out, but it doesn't have full protection from the elements and doesn't solve the problem that the Kraken is tracking our movements. We would be walking in the storm for sometime, with no shelter or provisions. Not really a scenario I want to try out at the moment.

John turns to Rogziel

Any suggestions on how to defeat this? Ranged weaponry is somewhat limited and being up close is suicide.

Looks around the Tavern for Jack

Kaipur continues looking out various windows as he replies to John.

Mate I ain't panicking, just voicing my concerns and trying to see if anyone has any ideas. I don't think we can escape since if we leave this hill we will be in the flood waters with the beast, I doubt our weapons can kill it considering the fort was unable to kill it and my tavern blowing up didn't either. I can only think of 2 possible solutions. The first solution I can think of is to try to pacify it. But I have no idea how to do that. The second is we split into 2 groups, one group goes Northeast the other Northwest. The beast can only chase one of the groups, so only half of us would die. But that's a last resort.

Kaipur thinks for a moment.

A slight alternative to my second idea Is we divide into 3 groups. One to Northeast, one to Northwest and one stays here fighting the beast. Only a third of us would die then if we are lucky.

A loud blast is heard as a mortar hits the beast. It fired from someone far away.

Kaipur smiles as the beast turns its attention to its attackers.

This is great, looks like we have help. Granted I doubt they can kill the beast, but if nothing else they can beat on it a bit.

Kaipur looks out the window trying to find the source of the blast, but its hard to do so with the wind, rain and lightning. He thinks he something but he can't tell what. He shouts

Anyone wanna help me see who or what's helping us.

jack takes out a spyglass to see that some of his men have managed to bring a mortar ashore and are working at firing at the kraken, pushing it back. The thing is obviously getting hurt, as it is bleeding ink

The kraken suddenly dives underwater, a while later a shipwreck flies above the water, and smashes itself against the mortars

During the commotion John sneaks down into the cellar and begins searching around.

Kaipur begins searching throughout the building himself, and he finds a 3 old cannons that look like they could still work. He gets some men to help him load and place the things near a couple windows on the 2nd floor. He quickly shouts

Everyone there could be some other things in here that could be useful, so start searching.
