might want to change where they enter from, since it sounds like they are coming from the area where the tribes we met a while ago were, which wouldn't make sense. I suggest Akortiri.

Eden nods in agreement

Sounds like a decent enough plan. Are all the ports engaging in buying slaves?

Vune just looks to Jack

So slavery is still a thing? Not gonna lie i don't pay much attention to matters that i don't have an interest in. Good luck in freeing these fellows. If you want you can borrow the 80 or so ship of the line Veera took from the Strait.

Veera stares at her and begins to shout

Like Hell they ca-

Vune smacks her head again

Shush. They can if they want.

Eden just nods

We will take them. That should help a lot. Do we have enough men to crew all of those ships. Also how many ships do we have total.

Jack looks to eden

Ah, no. All the IOM ports will not be buying slaves. And St. Martins.

Jack does the calculations

Around four hundred.

Eden thinks

Is that 400 counting the ships we are borrowing from Veera? Also do we know what route they will be taking throughout all of Avonmora? Perhaps it might be simpler if we can simply ambush their 300 Sotl, with a combination of ships and land artillery, rather then literally blockade and sack 17 ports. That would be an incredibly hard and long thing to do, and would most definitely provoke a lot of people into wanting to retaliate at us.

Jack says

The sacking of the ports would increase profit.

Eden looks at him

And it would be provoking a lot of retaliation for us in the future. Besides, if we could take even a third of those sotl, that would be a massive boost to our profit as well, and as a bonus none of the local avonmora ports would care enough to retaliate for the slavers. That being said, I would not object to blockading and sacking a port or 2 or maybe 3 or 4, but certainly not 17, that is simply making too many enemies too fast, and could be bad for us in the long run, all things in moderation as they say. But Jack, do we know what route the slavers will take? If we do an ambush might be possible.

Jack shakes his head

We know they're coming in from akrotiri, but that's it.

Vune perks up as she steps forward

Oh, I'm old friends with the new governor there. I helped her get the position too. But pointless trivia aside, it's quite simple to figure out their route based on the knowledge you have, with a bit of clever thinking.

She goes up to the map and puts her finger on Akrotiri.

We know where they shall start their journey, and, it only makes sense that is where it shall end as well-these men would want to go home after selling their slaves after all. So we can deduce they shall exit here as well. Now we also know they intend to stop at each port, MINUS St. martin and the IOM ones. So we just need to examine the map for the most optimal route that goes through the listed ports and ends at the start.

Her finger starts at Akrotiri and makes a trail leaving a mark as it goes. Akrotiri, Gasp ,Caspian, Prote, Chalkos, Hannes, Goroum, and she stops before circling a point near Hannes, a small strait.

Set up the ambush here, with artillery on both sides of the Strait, with your fleet guarding it. They will be bottled in and unable to fight back effectively, and should result in an easy victory for all of you. This would also prevent them from selling in the rest of the ports, meaning you would only need to sack 7. Well 6 if I tell my friend in Akrotiri not to buy any, which she won't.

Eden smiles and nods as she calls out.

I like this plan. What say the rest of you?

Jack gestures at eden

That's actually a really good plan, except theres one problem. Their fleet will not sail as a whole, it'll break up.

Vune laughs

then we just need to reexamine the optimal route.

Vune thinks for a moment before speaking

Pretty simple really. They arrive with their fleet whole in Akrotiri, Then they sail whole to Gasp, then north where they would most likely split in half. One half goes through the great strait, the other half north to the rest of the Spanish ports. All you need to do is set up 2 ambush points. The first in the Hannes Strait, the other in the Great one. You could convince the Caspian governor to help beat their fleet in the great strait with the newly built fort in return for not sacking them, and they would in turn not buy any slaves. Then you simply wait for the rest of the fleet to cross the Hannes strait and smash them there. The fact that they would break up to cover each of the Spanish ports would mean that they would be even easier to beat in the Hannes strait, as they would be crossing it in smaller groups.

jack coughs

Uhhh, what i meant was that they go to akrotiri, then they just break up into small parcels and sail off in different directions, which we weren't able to get a hold of.
