RP- Kidnappings in Kanoni

Charles gets more marines and he goes to the docks, the marines marching in an orderly line behind him. He looks at the dock guards, scowling

Almost all of the guards are either red or black, with a few white and blue ones. Meanwhile Veera continues walking down dark alleys. Making sure to just look straight ahead and act completely oblivious.

Charles draws his sword, a shining spadroon with a golden tassel hanging from the pommel,

the marines go forward and clap irons on the black and red ones

Vune takes a long look out to sea and thinks for a moment. She checks her robes for a few minutes before taking out some vials, and quickly gets to work freezing the water solid.

There. No one will be coming in or out without smashing apart this ice alerting us. We should double check all the crates for any women or children locked up, and then if we find any i suggest we take them back to the Qilin and have her protect them while we continue our search.

The corrupt guards are locked up. Charles sends some men to look into the crates

Uhm you can't just go around arresting guards. The other guards would counter your actions. And considering that you are in their port, you aren't likely to gain favor without authorization from someone up high.

Keep in mind that Kanoni has a population of 1.2B people which means that the number of guards would be significant, and even if you were to make that number more realistic such as 120k, there would still be hundreds of guards.

Vune takes out some papers signed from the local nobility granting her authority in handling the kidnappings and announcing that Charles is assisting her. She whispers very quietly to Charles

According to where? No where does it say you are a military officer of Kanoni. Nor does it say that you have command over the guards at the dock. Chain of Command isn't a modern concept.


As to Meliva's solution. Fair enough.
