A while back, the mages guild found out that Rhena a real strong mage was going to start launching attacks on all the ports-the attack at akrotiri was her doing. So we had a discussion on what to do about it. The majority of the guild came to the decision that, since she isn't attacking us, we just ignore her and let the ports defend themselves. Vune then made a deal with her, stating that none of the mage guild will oppose her so long as she doesn't attack the guild. I didn't agree with that, and stated I intended to oppose her. However since Vune didn't want the whole guild getting dragged into the fight, she had me locked up-claiming that once it was all over she'd release me. Part of the deal was that this island would be blocked off-both to keep the people on it safe from outside threats and to keep you all locked up until the attacks were finished.

Emily shrugs

I don't know why Rhena is doing what she's doing. Vune does, though she isn't sharing that info. We won't need to worry about the mages guild anymore though-Vune made it clear that once she kept her part of the deal she'd have no more to do with Rhena. And since she blocked off Valorim like she promised and locked me up, her work is done. She also took Ellen's corpse and locked her spirit up too, so I'm gonna need to free her. Just need to find out where she is. For now, we should head to Vaasburg, since that's the closest port, and will be a good place to start.

Emily just sighs

The guild does what it thinks is best for the guild first and foremost, but they do also try to help its allies. That's the reason they tried to block off this island. It wasn't so much to keep all of us locked in, but more to keep whatever Rhena does out. If they really wanted to hurt you guys, or stop you from interfering with Rhena they wouldn't have put jack's men to sleep and lock us up, they would have just bombarded the place with fire, golems and other attacks until the island was rubble.

Agnar shakes his head

Why didn't they just lock it up, and teleport us to the action? Rude. I mean, at least, some of us, actually most, are very capable of fighting... And, incase stuff goes wrong, I do have my runes...

Jack looks annoyed

Well, that's just great. I was going to challenge Agnar to a friendly fencing match, but I see that's not possible now...
