Ooh, that makes me curious. I honestly can not wait to see the other captains sales pitch. I feel I did a pretty fair job at mine, but regardless win or lose I had an absolute blast participating. But good job to my fellow captains for their picks and best of luck to them

I am actually surprised that no one is bored of Fantasy Draft yet, when the majority of the players there are the same people from Fantasy Draft I.

So it happens that CDV can not buy our votes this time around and we actually need to consider which is the best team.
There are two options to go by in my opinion: 1. checl and consider which team is actually the best (at given task i.e. war etc) 2. or decide which team is more poppular/famous.

For me its going to be the first option and there are already long discussions on my PMs. I figured it will be interesting and maybe even educating to open up those discussions here.

so I wanted to offer few paramaters that will help figure which team can be better.

resources (gc/non trading income) +
toughness (the ability to defend in a war) +
Voodoo chest +
War fleet +
Voodoo skill +
War expirience +
Leasdership skill/control ... I think + but it's on my crew to confirm
Cohesion (team work vs infighting - can they fight together?) We surely do! +
Activeness (to have the team work members must be online). + at least two of crew members are at any point on the line...and their captain has a pretty interesting biorhythm, I would say

using these parameters i find it much easier to reach a balanced and thoughtful opinion. would love to hear your opinion

Actrually...... as far as Montys team goes, I think Monty could lead it in almost any action. Never underestimate the will and determination of an Aussie woman. (speaking from experience here)

Otherwise people just pick the same old people.

What is there to elaborate on. I think we all see the rinse and repeat.
Surely the average early picks Morgan, BlackSparrow, Danik, Lodswe, DDT, CDV, PHX, Rogers, Hawkins, Stan, etc are all great players but they are ALWAYS picked because people think they are overall best. There is no themes or variance. Just the same players are picked as first and so on no matter who you shift around. Sure a few a outliers and guild mates of those picked here and there make it, but not anything more than that.

It was fun the first few times, but now after being in this community for over a year and seeing these drafts over and over again. They get cliche and so do their choices.

I propose an end to changing the people who pick, and instead make a theme of those picked.

Pirate, merchant, hell even extend it.. Council members, teamwork, if you had to go to a war pick your dream team, etc.

That would draw in far more attention and extend the longevity of these drafts.
