Solberg again tries to nod, and shouts in irritation

Yes, we can move forward. Try not to touch the webs, and lets try to get this over with quick. Being a skull is a very annoying thing. I made sure that this island would have a large amount of rats, so the spiders shouldn't be hungry, if you don't disturb their webs, or attack them most of them should leave us alone.

He mumbles to himself.

In hindsight, that makes them very poor guards, so many mistakes in this place was I drunk when designing the defenses.

Emily looks a bit worried.

These golems are not subtle, and are certainly not careful. Theres no way they can move through this forest without disturbing any webs.

She thinks for a bit before snapping her fingers. She orders them to go to the far east side and smart smashing trees and kill any spiders or rats they see. She turns to everyone.

There, most of the spiders and rats will go to the east, so we can sneak in easier through the west.

Solberg mutters again.

yeah I really did a piss poor job on the outer defenses.

Well then, let’s move on.

Jack and his men head west

After a few minutes loud sounds can be heard. Shadows dart through the forest and Emily smiles. The crashing sounds fade as they get further away. Then Emily turns and begins to head NE. She shouts to the others.

We are far enough west, and I think most of the creatures are east by now. Lets hurry and get to the hill before they come back.

[Jack Teach]

Jack and his men follow suit and go to NE. A sound issues from the woods, something large is coming toward them. Jack grimaces.

We need to move faster!

[Meliva]

Brian and Emily begin cutting down anything that might slow them down, being careful to keep from the webs. Emily looks to Solberg.

Is there anything else in this forest you might have forgotten about. Like something giant?

Solberg replies.

My guess would be the spider queen is making that sound. its a good bit bigger then the rest, so we might want to hurry.

The group ends up in a clearing, and moments later a colossal spider shows up. Its the size of a cutter, and it has several other spiders around it. The golems seem to all be trapped in webs, struggling to get out. Ellen turns to the others.

Get a few men to cut the golems free, me and a few others can form a melee wall while those with ranged weapons can stay behind and fire.

Ellen, Emily and Brian step forward and brandish their weapons and prepare to fight off the sipders, who begin rushing the group.

Rylon's men fire several flaming arrows at the webs, burning them down and freeing the golems

[Jack Teach]

Jack's men line up two rows, jack stands beside them, his cutlass aloft.

Ready! Aim! Fire!

The first line fires, then they step back to reload, the line behind steps forward and fires, this process is repeated. Jack fires his pistols and stabs any spider that comes near, stabbing and shooting with extreme violence in his hatred.

Emily yells at the golems to pair up and begin ripping off the legs. and they do so, after losing 3 legs the spider queen rushes off into the forest, the remaining spiders following. Solberg shouts to everyone that the hill is just ahead. But that the spiders will probably attack again when we need to leave the island. So we can either head forward now, or try to hunt down the spiders, but that could take a while. Emily shrugs.

I say we just get what we came for, then we deal with them if necessary.
