[Jack Teach]

Michael quickly reads up on all he needs to and writes it down and then leaves. Back on the ship, jack drinks a tankard of rum on the quarterdeck.

Where's that young man?

[Meliva]

Zephyra points up to the crows nest, where he's drinking from a cask of rum. She tells Jack somewhat amazed.

He's pretty strong. He carried that cask up there with one hand.

Brian looks to her.

Why did no one stop him?

She gestures to a few men on the ground missing some teeth and bleeding

A few tried. Didn't turn out well.

Vune continues reading, looking more and more worried, and can be heard cursing under her breath.

[Jack Teach]

Jack pulls out of a pistol and fires it in the air, near the man. Jack looks to his men

You men, get that ****** from the rigging, and bring the ships articles.

Some of Jack's strongest men are sent up, one pulls out a pistol ordering him to come down. He reluctantly accepts and comes down. A large piece of paper is brought out and the young man is brought before Jack, who stands on the quarterdeck with his arms crossed. Jack puts the piece of paper on a podium and looks to the young man.

Now young man, I'm sure you know that the reason you are here, you have broken far too many of your areas laws, so I decided to take you in so that you could break some more laws by being a pirate.

Jack smiles

If you cooperate, and survive, you'll have all the rum and pretty girls you want. A pirates life is a good one. If you don't cooperate, and listen to orders, you could be flogged, hung or shot. And as a bonus, if you join willingly, I'll let you finish the cask. Can you read lad?

[Meliva]

The man looks to the papers, and in a quick motion slam's Jack's head into the papers, before quickly thowing him into the water. He shouts to the others men near him in a roar.

I don't follow nobody but me-and id die before I follow anybody. Now If you sacks of sh*t are gonna shoot me, then shoot me, id like to be in hell before dinner, Or If your just gonna stand there slack-jawed then move out of my way. I'm heading back into that island and getting my revenge.

Vune laughs

Oh that's funny. You'd die from that mark before you could make a move.

The man stomps toward her enraged, raising his fist to strike but she casually freezes him in a block of ice. She looks over the railing and levitates Jack back up and dries him off with a bit of magic. She looks to the man.

I can see why they kicked him out. You know, not too late to dump him on a raft and send him off. But if you want to try to recruit him still, I can unthaw him.

[Jack Teach]

Jack looks enraged

Unthaw that son of a ***** please. If you have any tips on how to keep him in line, please feel free to share them. I'm tempted to blow his miserable brains out.

Vune just nods and smirks

Oh I have many ways to get him in line. In fact, despite being in a rather bad mood, I will give you a little gift.

She quickly begins rummaging through her robes and takes out a necklace, she plucks a hair from Jack, and melds it into it. She then goes and unthaws the man, and paralyzes him. She puts the necklace on, goes back to Jack and nods to him and hands him a black whistle

There. He now has a cursed necklace. If he tries to hurt you, or disobey a command from you, he gets shocked. Or if you want to shock him for sh*ts and giggles, or need someone to watch him beside yourself, just use that whistle. When your ready just let me know and ill let him up and you can try it out.

She stands ready to free him on Jack's word.

Jack nods

Ready, and thanks. Though, I'd love not to be able to use this on him. I just can't believe I just offered him the most freedom-loving job in the world, I even offered to let him finish the cask, despite the fact he knocked out several of my men. I struggle with pride, but I daresay he's more arrogant than I.

[Meliva]

Vune shrugs

Eh, some people just don't take well to being ordered around. Honestly he probably would prefer to be kicked off into a raft on his own. He'd probably just go and start pirating on his own with his attitude.

She lets him up, and he glares at her as he tries to rush her. She quickly teleports behind him as he slams into the mast, before looking around for her again, roaring profanities and things he plans to do. She laughs

Jeez, are your sure your not secretly a Dag? You act as beastly as they do.

The man decides to go for a easier target and settles on Jack, as he moves toward him.

[Jack Teach]

Jack smirks as he is rushed. When the young man tries to hurt him, a shock goes through his body and he falls on his knees. Jack laughs.

Now lad, I tried to be nice, even though you attempted to steal my rum, you knocked out my men, and then actually managed to drink part of a cask. If you were older I'd kill you were you stand or rather, kneel. But since you're young and stupid, I'll let you live. Thanks to Vune, you cannot harm me. Now read the articles and sign them. You'll be a democratic member of our floating society, you'll be one of the most free men in the world, you'll be able to fight and drink your way across the world.

the young man starts to shout back, but is shocked again, and finally decides to read and sign the articles. Vune goes back to reading her book, mumbling once more, as Zephyra sits down next to her and reads as well.
