Ellen, we were helping these people to defeat this fleet, or they were helping us, depends how you look at it. But now they've turned on us. Can you help us? And you were right, that was too ruthless of me, I'll try to be more merciful from now on.

Ellen shakes her head as she gestures to her flickering form-her voice is also very hard to hear

Im, afraid not. I've been using up almost all my strength helping Aunt Vune in her search. I've checked every bloody inch of heaven, purgatory, and a few other realms id rather not speak of, and i'm exhausted. But, I can deliver a message to one of my family to come help you. Just try to keep them away while i do so.

Zephyra beams and nods as she summones a gale to keep any fleets back, though the men are beginning to row closer, already having shots perpared. A few even are prepared to sink the ships if needed. Zeph shouts to Jack

Do you have anything you can use as mines? That might help.

Jack's men run out the guns and begin firing at the enemies if they can hit them, jack looks to zepyra

We have some barrels of gunpowder, but we can only spare about ten. We need a lot to work the guns.

Jack calls to his men down bellow deck:

Steady men! Have courage lads!

enemy ships are rowing up right? Just making sure it's not longboats or something

Before Zephyra can respond, Ellen returns with Veera, who looks very irritated and tired. She teleports their fleet near Valorim sweating and looking exhausted afterwards nearly collapsing before grabbing hold of Zephyra. She turns to Jack and growls at him in an angry voice

Im charging you for this service by the way. 1 million gold coins or im teleporting you straight back.

Ellen glares at her, though Zephyra chuckles

No offense cousin, but you look like you'd drop dead if you did this again.

Veera decks her before straightening her robes.

Fine. Can't do that your right-now at least. But i still demand a payment. Otherwise ill just come back when im rested and do something then.

Jack looks to his men and nods. They come back with a large chest and they set it infeont of her. Jack smiles

Thank you. Feel free to rest in one of the hotels if you wish.

Veera scoffs.

Don't have much choice in the matter. Hunting for Eric is damn well nearly killing me. I am such a stupid fool to have trusted Emily with him. Vune's got both of us working non bloody stop to get him back, while she and Ellen go off searching every square inch of every damn place.

Veera sits down and laughs. It is a very bitter laugh

SO many people would love to see our family wiped out, and it seems like at this rate we are going to wipe ourselves out.

She gets up and hobbles off to her sisters lair. Zephyra following. Ellen just sighs and turns to Jack

She was the only one available to help. Like she said, our family is currently running all over the place. After I rest i need to go back to helping Vune search. Then, i can help them with Eric, if he's still out there.

Jack turns to zephyra

Zephyra went with Veera to rest in Emily's lair.

Ellen looks confused

Me and Vune are not searching for Eric, we left that to the others. Though I am not surprised she didn't tell you what she is searching for. She is a prideful woman. A bit over prideful at times-she would probably would have finished her search by now if she had asked for help sooner. Even with my help we haven't finished it yet.

Jack scratches his head

Ellen thinks for a moment. She begins to speak though fades away before a word is said. Brian thinks before saying to Jack

Well we stopped the strait from being destroyed. That was our main objective. Of course, we were also told that Caspian planned to fortify the strait to bar access to pirates, and Thorokas to fortify it for tax reasons. The fact they worked together makes me think they plan to work together to fortify both sides. Now technically speaking this isn't a bad thing for most people. But it will be annoying for traders, and far worse for any pirate wanting to use the strait. If your fine with avoiding it from now on, we can call it a day and leave it be. Otherwise we need to stop them from fortifying it-thankfully it will take time for them to do so, so we can still rest and repair for a while.
