If one member of a team is caught doping, does the team get sanctioned? Nope. Its just the member. The team can go on without that one member. Same goes for most competitions, if the team is unaware of the crime. In this case, only I was aware of the crime on my team. no one else

So you say I rule over the olympics? I appreciate the honors but I dont deserve such a title. I only deserve this win because it was honest. No votes were paid for. Fair and square

No it had no influence as gc was the influence. Since there was no GC, there was no influence. Duh

Let's bring up the Olympics. A member of a bobsled team cheated to win the gold medal. The medal was stripped from the entire team. Not just the person who cheated.

This category is for Olympic competitors who were stripped of their Olympic medals, either due to doping, violating eligibility requirements or other reasons (such as "violating the spirit of fair play"). Note that some competitors were stripped of medals due to violations by team mates.

You know just playing devil's advocate here, but I don't recall any of the drafts stating that buying votes is cheating/against the rules. Hell Davinci openly bought votes in one draft.

Though I will also say that I think buying votes-even if it isn't technically cheating is just cheap. And makes for a hollow victory. That being said, Future drafts should definitely mark that no one in a team may buy votes, anyone caught doing so, will be kicked from their team-and if a captain does it, they are disqualified.

Fair point, but you are also giving them a bribe-so both sides benefit. Which could be seen as a trade. Though I will admit, I hadn't thought of it that way. But since I can only moderate forums, I personally can't do diddly about any bribes happening in messages even if a rule is broken. CJ would need to handle that, and it would ultimately be up to him whether or not it's a violation.

Very good point though-hadn't thought of the rules as a whole when making my post.

I have to look back through, but I'm pretty sure that CJ said that game rules apply as it is a game approved and supported event. Cheating (well in this circumstance exploiting a loophole) is a game rule violation.

If buying votes isn't cheating, then fake forum accounts should be allowed too to vote. Yeah that happened during a previous draft. Also against the rules.
