RP- Kidnappings in Kanoni

charles stands there looking absolutely furious. His expression quickly turns to one of sorrow, and he drops his sword.

[Meliva]

A cultists grabs the sword while a few other check over Charles, disarming him of any other weapons. Ellen floats in her Morningstar raised, but is quickly petrified by the lich, her statue now frozen in mid attack as it falls down to the ground. Charles is quickly tied and bound and set next to the statue as the cult begin leaving through a portal. Before the lich leaves he calls back.

Those ropes are old and weak. Struggle long enough and you will break free. As for the ghost, well you can free her by smashing the statue. Or perhaps I'm lying and doing so will destroy her for good. Either way better luck next time.

The portal closes and the room is silent.

Charles struggles against the ropes, breaking them rather quickly. He walks over to Ellen putting his hand under his chin, thinking about what to do.

Who knew you could freeze a holy soul? Rather peculiar. Question is...

How do I get her out?

[Meliva]

Ellen's hand with the morning star slowly begins to loosen it's grip, dropping it to the ground. Her eyes slowly drift towards Charles, then to the mace then back to his, and he hears in his head a faint voice

Smash me with my weapon. Otherwise its going to take me hours to break out on my own.

[Jack Teach]

Charles picks up the mace and swings, hesitantly at first, the he does it harder and then he smashes the statue

[Meliva]

The statue scatters to pieces as little bits of wisps fly out of them reforming Ellen who quickly takes back her weapon and her cross before looking to the portal.

Thanks. That saved me hours of wriggling. I don't suppose you have any type of portal magic knowledge? Cause I sure don't. My sister's do, so maybe I can get one of them to come by. Ugh but those buggers will be long gone by then. Well maybe I can still track them down from there. Regardless, we may have failed today, but at least some of them were saved, and a few of the cultists killed. Well, unless you have any ideas, we should head back to port. Maybe offer to take the others home.

[Jack Teach]

Charles looks sad again.

We should take them home.

Charles curses under his breath

Ellen looks to all the innocent corpses slain and just sighs

Well, things don't always end with a happy ending. Sad as it may be. Now we really need a priest to swing by. This place needs to be checked top to bottom, all the corpses burned or buried, so many prayers said, so many holy rituals done. Regardless, ill get you out of here the fast way, since it's just you this should be easy.

Ellen floats over grabs him, and quickly floats them both straight up, through the roof of the cave, then forward outside where the men are waiting. She says to Charles as she starts to float towards town.

Normally id ask first, but I really didn't want to have to wait for you to go through those tunnels again, especially since there could be more monsters if you said no.

[Jack Teach]

charles says

Thank you. I think some of my men got out...

a man in brown robes with tassels hanging from the rope around his waste is slowly limping towards them. He holds a blunderbuss

Ellen nods

Good. Nice to know more then one survived.

In the horizon a man is running towards the group, as the sun begins to rise. He shouts in terror as he reaches them.

One of those women you saved, turned to a bloody monster when night fell. It killed all the others and flew off.

It then occurs to Charles he neglected to mention to any of the guards that Ino said one wasn't human and could be dangerous. Ellen just looks enraged as she floats forward

Well which way did it fly off? Ill fly after and smite her myself.

The man points and Ellen quickly flies away shouting back to Charles as she leaves

a nearby man simply slumps down in defeat
