Ellen's eyes darken considerably, and look nearly demonic as she quickly turns around and begins marching toward the orphanage. She takes a quick look to the boy, and says in a very dark, cold and emotionless voice.

My child, WHO burned it down. I assume it was the local pirates. If so, may god have mercy on them for I bloody hell won't.

Emily follows close behind. Looking upset as well. She tells one of the nearby crew that after they deliver the pirates to round everyone up, and help the orphans.

Meliva wrote:Just so you know Dez, the orphanage Ellen and Emily grew up in and own and run is Panselo in Regis, though I admit I didn't specify that in the conversation Ellen and Mr.White had. That being said, Ellen has since decided to begin branching out and is aiming to try to own an orphanages in every port, So Ill just say the orphanage that just burned down Is one she just acquired.

I was aware, which is why I didn't say the name of the orphanage. I drew the assumption that you must also have an orphanage here as you must have some sort of vested interest in Tortuga for you to be here and care about the local pirates.

Ah i see. Well honestly the main reason Ellen showed up was that Emily was in Tortuga during the ordeal, so she decided to come and help to make sure she was okay. Getting a new orphanage set up was a secondary task. In fact I think ill say it was set up as part of the deal she made with the governor.

The boy is shaking in fear.

It was pirates, but there were guards with them. I've never seen those pirates around here before.

Ellen closes her eyes, takes a deep breath and kneels down in front of the kid. She opens her eyes after moment, her eyes looking very kind and understanding. She says in a motherly tone as she puts a hand on his shoulder.

Sweetie, there is no need to be afraid, my rage isn't directed at you, and you can rest assured those who did this will NEVER, do this again when I find them. Now, tell me everything you know, and when your done, Brian will take you and the other orphans to get cleaned up and a have a nice meal. Okay sweetie?

There was five of them. They came in but said nothing to each other. The two that looked like guards watched the front entrance, while the three that looked like pirates, searched through the rooms. Once the pirates came out, they set fire to the rooms. When they left each headed in separate directions. The only thing I can remember about them is they didn't look like the local pirates. I don't remember anything else.

Ellen nods and tries to think of what could be in the orphanage that would be of interest. She hadn't had a chance to really check the place out yet, so she couldn't think of anything. She looks back to the child and says in a calm soothing voice.

Do you know what might have been in the chests they took? And are there any other orphans who you can think of who can tell us more? And is there any details you can remember of the men-did any of them have an eye patch or missing limbs, or some sort of uniform anything that can help us identify them?

The boy calms, but is still visibly shaken.

Sister Ellen, I don't know what was in the chests. The chests came this morning with a few crates of food and supplies and they were locked. The other orphans were in the yard when they showed up, I was the only one inside at the time. The pirates were dressed similar like him.

The boy points at Jack

They dressed like the pirates that came ashore yesterday from all of those ships. I do remember that the one pirate had a scar down the right side of his face. The guards looked liked those guards.

The boy points at the guards escorting the prisoners.

That's all I remember.

Jack turns to the boy.

Young lad, those were not my men, and if they were, it was not on my order. If it was my men, they will die.
