Back in the lair, with the beast finally dead Vune simply dusts herself off and begins walking into the next room, talking as she does so.

Not sure how many casters Agrat has working for her, it might honestly just be Rhena, who we won't really need to kill. She's crazy and very dangerous, but she can be reasoned with. Besides, she said she'd deal with us in the next room once we dealt with her bugs, so we will be seeing her soon.

Vune enters into the next room, the others right behind her, as they see the robed mage Rhena nearby, patiently waiting. She grins at the group and waves.

Oh hey, your here, that must mean you killed all my bugs, congrats. How's it going Vune, i havn't seen you since I tried to kill you during my little plague attack. In hindsight wasn't my best idea. But, can't be right all the time.

Vune just chuckles

Well there's a prisoner in there you might want to rescue, and i can tell you how to free him, and i can tell you how to avoid the traps in the next floor. In exchange the next time i try to wipe out the ports, you must not interfere Vune.

Well that was bloody easy. Was expecting you to haggle or negotiate, but i won't complain. Password to open the cells is Figglehorn, and on the next floor, theres a bunch of different paths, always take the path that looks more dangerous. Oh sweetie, I don't need to worry about you or Jack interfering, you and all your friends will be dead by then. I don't intend to launch my next wave of attacks for at least a hundred years. It takes time to build armies from scratch you know. But Vune on the other hand, well she will be around still, so it's nice to have her out of the picture. As for whether or not I'm lying, well what have I to gain from doing so? It would break my new agreement with Vune, and motivate her to stop my next attack. And since she's the biggest threat, it only makes sense to keep her happy. I know for a fact that Vune isn't going to die here-she's too smart and tough, even if I try to deceive her it's unlikely she would perish. But your more then welcome to ignore my advice-but our deal is made, I have spoken truthfully, and whether or not you heed it, well it matters not to me anymore.

Vune just nods.

We can trust Rhena. She isn't always trustworthy, but like she said-she doesn't gain by lying to us here. If she did lie to us, I will make her pay for it later. We have a moment of calm right now also, does anyone need patching up, before we head into the cells next?

Vune chuckles, though she looks upset at seeing Flint. Rhena just looks to him and then to Vune.

Rhena casually walks out the door, as Vune begins to contemplate the situation. She thinks to herself if she should kill Flint, or save the effort, after a moment of deliberation she makes a mental note to deal with him later-bigger fish to fry first. She turns to the group
