Jack pulls out a large pistol and fires it.

Aww barnacles.

Jack pulls out a hand genade and throws it at the wolves, killing a couple. Jack pulls out his cutlass and stabs one.

Damn...

The golem that had been blasted manages to get back up and begins fighting off the ursagis, while Ellen and the other golem are managing to push the demon back. Ellen manages to get her rosary around the demons neck, and it howls in pain. She yells to the golems to pin it down, and they both rush forward and grapple it. She takes the opportunity to smash its skull in killing it. The remaining animals having lost their handler run further back into the caves. Ellen dusts herself off and takes out some bandages.

Okay, lets patch ourselves up before we head further in How are is everyone doing? And Emily how are the golems doing.

Emily inspects them. One is mostly fine but the one that had been blasted has cracks in it. It looks quite beat up.

One looks like another blast will shatter it. The other is fine. I will try to patch them up though, but im not exactly skilled in this kind of magic. But I think we learned something very valuable. It seems these animals are quite cowardly without a handler. We should remember that.

Raven throws down his broken sword and shield, and unslings his poleaxes from his back
Guess I’ll have to fight with this now.

Emily looks at the equipment nearby, and begins to have an idea. She shouts to the others.

Hold on, I think I might be able to do something that could help save us some trouble.

She goes over to a nearby barrel of water and begins mixing it with dirt making a large pile of mud. She grabs some ingredients and tools and after about 10 minutes makes a pretty big mud golem. She smiles as she orders it and the 2 stone ones to march forward.

There. another living shield. Although mud is quite a bit weaker and inferior to stone. But they are also easier and faster to make.

Brian gets curious.

So what's the best type of golem.

Emily thinks.

I would probably say steel. But those are incredibly difficult to make, and pretty expensive. Takes a long time too. Although a Diamond golem would theoretically be the strongest golem, but I have never heard of anyone ever actually making one. Too expensive and time consuming. And would be hard to find enough diamond.

She looks upset as they reach a point where the path splits in 2.

Okay, this complicates things. Should we split up, or focus on one path and come back to the other later. What do you guys think. I think we should all go left.

Jack thinks for a moment.

Splitting up would be a bad idea, it would weaken our numbers.

Emily nods.

Alright then. Well as the old saying goes good adventurers go left.

Emily orders the 3 golems down the left passage and begin heading down. After walking for a while Another demon Is on guard. It blasts the mud golem to pieces and it hangs back as it orders the animals to attack. Once more Ellen and the golems take point as they rush forward, Emily and Brian provide cover for their flank. The remaining animals charge towards Jack and Raven.

Jack pulls out two pistols and fires at the animals, killing two. He pulls out his cutlass and begins violently hacking away at the animals, swearing loudly, he gets a bite in his arm, but he shakes it off, chopping of its head with a cutlass blow.

Raven brings his poleaxes down on a warg, with so much force it’s head was split in half, he then swings the poleaxes into the throat of a wolf, killing it
