Jack nods

Right. What was I thinking?

He shouts

Fire!

The men all fire their muskets at Linda. Jack fires two pistols, knowing that they won't do much but that it's at least something.

[Meliva]

Linda creates a barrier, though Mel quickly dispels it, allowing some of the shots to hit her. Brian and Carl both rush in, Brian smashing her head with his mace, though she blasts him back with magic. Carl decks her in the face, before getting blasted back as well. She sends out several lances of magic, killing a few men, while Mel blasts her with fire burning her and setting her ablaze. Linda has taken a lot of damage as she rushes forward and swings at Jack with her dagger, cutting his arm and kicking his stomach.

[Jack Teach]

Jack smashes his heavy pistol against the side of her cheek, and then follows it up with a several fast sword cuts, with the final one aimed at her neck. Jack's men stand off, waiting for an opening and taking potshots when Jack isn't too close.

[Meliva]

Linda's throat get's slashed as she fails to dodge the final sword slash, and as she stumbles back, she scowls as she mutters

I'll see you all in hell soon enough.

With the last of her strength she slams her dagger into the ground, and the tunnels begin to shake as the place begins to collapse. Mel quickly snatches the paper from Linda before running back out the tunnels as she shouts

We should get out of here.

[Jack Teach]

Jack and his men race out of the place as it falls. They all sigh with relief upon exiting.

Well, now all we have to do is just obliterate any fortifications left above ground and we can go home. I wonder how long it'll take to reduce everything to pebbles...

[Meliva]

Brian looks around before shrugging

Well me and Brian can set up some explosives around the place in key areas, then one volley of cannon fire to trigger them should do it. After that, job well done.

The 2 men quickly place explosives in key areas, before hopping aboard Jack's ship.

All clear.

[Jack Teach]

Jack, smiling, orders the volley. The cannons fire, and the men cheer as the fortifications went up in fire and smoke. Jack looks to his companions

Well, I'm quite happy with what we've accomplished here today, though I'll certainly be glad to rest.

Jack looks to his helmsman

Set a course for Prote. We're going to have a very long shore leave.

[Argo]

The cabin has been shaking quite violently for the last few minutes then in an eerie and loud silence all is suddenly still ...
Argo stands in the quiet for a moment but her head snaps around to a sound coming from the direction of the table ..

For a moment she is dizzy and disoriented but when she gathers herself and it clears a strong breeze swirls in the cabin momentarily ..
Her head feels thick and foggy .. and she notices a putrid stench .. she knows all too well what that means!

As if in a trance her fingers reach for the key around her neck .. she finds herself mesmerised and resisting a strong urge to put the key to the chest - but not so much that she could not stop herself from opening the chest .. "Noo.. I must not ... not without the parchment.."

She shakes her head clear and reaches up into the cupboard to retrieve her mind bar .. altho she sense she is not alone in her cabin .. She places her mindbar on her head for protection and fills a jug with water .. She drinks some of it and then pours the rest over her head blessing herself, .. followed by a quick shot of rum she feels clear again ..
She hopes the mindbar holds until Mel and Jack return ..

The golden ship quickly sails back to Prote. Sailing proudly back to Argo's MoW. Mel hops aboard her ship and runs to the cabin.

Oy Argo. Got the parchment for you.

[Argo]

Sensing again somethings not right in the cabin, "Oh Mel.. Ive never been more pleased to see anyone in my life!! There's something in here .. I think it came attached to the chest or something .. I don't know what it is .. but I can sure feel it -- can you? And can you make it go away?? "

She takes the parchment from Mel and unscrolls it. Looking at the words she smiles .. "haha.. seems we need 2 voices to say the chant! How opportune! "

But before we start should we not get rid of that spook or whatever it is that's here? Don't want that multiplying.. Uttering the words together will give us power over the egg .. Once we have empowered it I can think of all good things like fortune and treasure and all the gold we can handle .. seems you need 2 voices for it to work .. How clever .. "
