Before doing that Jack rather awkwardly hands the bottle to Emily

Here's something for you. Most people like that stuff.

Emily takes the wine

Thank you, a very thoughtful gift. While you enjoy the food and drink I shall explain what the job offer is, and possible payment. There are 2 jobs I have to offer. One is diplomatic, the other involves hunting monsters and retrieving some items.

Emily takes out map and points to the 2 small islands to the north

In between these 2 islands, deep under the sea lies the palace of a dragon king. Long story short, I want to get on his good side. So, I want you to go there, deliver a gift I have prepared, talk him up some about how beneficial it would be to be on good terms with me, then come back and relay what he says. This job will have a little fighting, there is some danger to the north and in the sea, but it's largely safe.

She then points to the south of her island, on the edge of land on the Thorokas is on.

Or you can go to a sea cave here, kill some sea monsters of various types, and grab a chest that is being guarded. This job will be mostly fighting.

Payment will be a good chunk of gold, or a magic artifact from my collection.

She looks up to them as she takes a sip of wine

Any questions?

Argo smiles and nods a thank you to Sir Henry as she takes her seat she thinks to herself, "Hmm holdin me chair - that's a bit fancy!~"

She giggles to herself..and enjoys the moment.
Her eyes cast over the spread as her tummy rumbles in appreciation. Emily seems ok so far..

'You make it sound easy Ms Emily .. and I dont mean to query your intention - however, why do you need to employ so many if its just matter of a simple retrieval?"

Natural question from Argo considering she is still reeling a little from the 'simple' retrieval of the egg of creation. as she hungrily fills her plate with a mountain of fresh fruit - a rarity these days!

She shovels a good handful of berries into her mouth and looks up to see noone else has yet taken any food. They seem to be preparing to say a grace or something. She sits upright and swallows the berries doing her best nonchalent.

Emily laughs a little

Because I know there are bound to be folks who will want to impede my plans. In both cases, I expect there will be a fight-just the diplomatic mission will be more peaceful. However, I am confident that there will be someone, or something that will butt it's head in to try to stop whoever I send. Either to steal the gift I plan to give, or simply to muck up my plans.

The battle-oriented mission isn't a simple retrieval either. Quite a few nasty sea monsters will be guarding the treasure. I could go and deal with them personally, but I have other things to deal with. So much to do, so little time.

Rest assured, neither job will be easy. Both will have challenges. Both will pay well. However, rest assured that I am not the type to send folks on suicidal missions-that's more a hobby of my sister Veera-she finds it funny. If I thought you folks couldn't succeed, I wouldn't bother hiring you. That would be a waste of time and talent.

Jack mutters a short prayer and begins putting food on his plate.

Well, I vote we go with the second option. What do the rest of you think?

Morgan slides his plate forward, and leans back in his chair. While the fare is ample, he makes a note to have the cook prepare a chicken upon his return to the ship.

"I have no preference as to either mission, but I be curious..."

He crosses his arms as he leans forward onto the table, focusing his gaze upon Emily.

"What can ye tell us about the dragon king?"

Yeah the duke can make an appearance, I'll even help set it up.

Emily looks to Morgan

I've yet to meet him personally, so I can only tell you what I know from 2nd hand sources, and my general knowledge. He is old, he is powerful, he is wealthy. He is fair in his dealings and is a fair ruler. He is also my neighbor to the north. All in all, would be very inconvenient for us both to be on each other's bad side, while on the other hand, having good relations would be very beneficial to me, and to him.

Emily looks up for a bit before focusing back to the others

It would seem someone else is going to make an appearance soon. Regardless, whichever mission you don't take, may be available later. Brian and Carl will be busy for a while, so they may not get around to it in time.

Argo leans forward and says " Dragon-King - I'm guessing he is a dragon? What sort of dragon? I mean, there are dragons.. and then there are
DRAGONS! - May I ask, what exactly is the gift you want us to get for you?
