Now that's a fallacy right there. Just because I don't agree with you on this issue does not mean I stand with the russians, or any other bad thing. Folks can disagree with you and not be guilty of this that or the other.

As for this whole topic, I'm afraid that no rules were really broken. and deleting the whole thread over one post is overkill anyway. The most I can do is compromise and have the offensive joke put in a spoiler tag and hidden to those who don't click on it. Unless Argo is fine with deleting it herself.

I didn't mean to offend you Argo. As you said God love us all despite our mistakes and he knows us better from the inside. Exactly as you said Religious views are very personal and personally I don't mind if mine differs from another, but because there is a very thin line between joking and mocking, I prefer to leave some things unsaid just in case I might be making a mistake. Centuries of War about religion taught me that people become furious about their beliefs. As for the jokes I believe there is a time and place for everything. God and jokes don't go together in my opinion. There is no joke for the One without sin, for the One that loves us all despite our mistakes, for the One that died to save us. You don't go to a funeral to make jokes. And this week is exactly this. The way to the crucifixion, the buried and the ressurection. I find your joke out of time and place, without judging your intentions.

As Mel say.. there is indeed a funeral service revolution going on .. many are changing the final send offs to celebrations and remembrance in joy and more of a party send off than the solemn and mournful traditions of late.. there are even people you can hire to go to your funeral and tell everyone exactly what you really thought of them too!! LMAO That could be fun!!

Since your referring to my report, I firmly believe that any subject that has to do with religion or politics should be immediately deleted when posted. Noone of us is here for this. I can't start a Campaign for Jesus Christ in forums, so I don't get why someone can't try to convince me for anything opposite or different or whatever.

As with most traditional celebrations I do try to post a greeting .. So are you suggesting no Christmas greetings too?


LOL I wasnt starting a campaign, I was wishing a greeting (ok a little unconventional - Ill own it) - reaching for a smile or even a giggle or a laugh ..

but I also think this discussion is good. It is always good to know where the community is at boundary wise.. and its a discussion that some may like to have but cant/dont/wont .. perhaps we can do a poll ..

Also, some of the best discussions I have read here have been about pollitics.. I have learned a great deal - so not a bad thing imo!
