uhhhh, no. One of their jobs is to work with the poor, so bad smells are'nt new. Also, he's been on ships a lot, and they don't smell very good either.

The priest shakes his head in dismay

I believe your correct. Yes it's still going on, though the Church has been screaming in the Spanish government's ear telling them to stop, and it's died down slightly and whilst it's quite bad...

He hesitates

...there is some exaggeration, but lets discuss this later. What can we do to help with your problem?

Well they would smell bad, but I don't think it would be as bad as a sewer filled with feces, urine, booze and various other rotting things.

Frank just laughs a little

Well its more the port and people above me's problem more then mine. Like I said, whispers don't reach down here, and I live here, and the undead are rather passive. They come into port, but unless someone starts praying, or they see a person wearing holy attire or try to enter their cave they don't do anything. Which probably explains why they smashed all the churches to rubble. As for how to solve it, I dunno. A bum like me doesn't know much.

Ellen's form floats in and just thinks for a moment.

Nun's taught me about this sort of stuff. I think if we took the bodies that are in the cave and put them to rest, that might end the problem. Problem is, that those whispers would drive the living mad. They get worse and worse the closer to the cave.

She looks down to her form, in her nun attire and sighs.

And when i tried to get close, they were quite aggressive. Ghosts apperently can hurt other ghosts-thats something i learned today.

The priest thinks for a moment.

When we arrived, I looked inside a dockside chapel, it was completely destroyed. Statues smashed, alter broken into. However, the tabernacle, where the Body of Christ is held, was completely untarnished. I have found that although any human can destroy a host, a ghost cannot, and a demon cannot either.

He looks to Ellen and smiles

Why do you not stay in Heaven?

Ellen points to Emily as she replies

Because I want to keep an eye on my sisters, and continue to help out down here. I have a literal eternity to enjoy heaven, spending time down here a while longer isn't a big deal in the grand scheme of things. Besides, I enjoy being able to help out with stuff like this, and I couldn't do that while relaxing in heaven.

Emily takes a look outside and see's the sun is setting. Frank says that the whispers get worse at night and undead walk around the port. Emily just shrugs as she starts to leave.

Im gonna go check out that cave. You guys might want to go sleep in your ships. Or stick in the sewer-as i wouldn't sleep where those whispers can be heard.

Emily shakes her head no before speaking.

I'm going there to scout it out-since I'm dead the whispers won't bother me, and the undead will leave me alone. If you come with me, there will be fighting involved. But you will get to go there tomorrow to help put the souls to rest and end this problem, but It will help if I scout it out before we go in with no information. So I'm going to count how many undead I see, what all is in the caves, etc. And also its going to be night time soon-it would be foolish for you to try to go inspect the cave at night.

Besides you guys should probably be keeping an eye out for Agnar. His ship might arrive soon.

Agnar finally shows up with his large frigates
, but for once, he ain't at the steering platform. As they dock alongside Jack's Large Frigate, he he shows up from the small cargo room.

Aye, Mikkel, let's see what's going on here.

As the pair enter the port, whispers can be heard in their head, as a wave of fear and anger seems to flood into them. Emily spots them as she leaves the sewer, and quickly Goes to them.

You 2 might want to head into the sewers back there. For some reason the whispers and other effects don't reach there. Gonna have to look into that later. Jack and the others are down there now. I don't recommend staying in a place you can hear the whispers for long.

Emily quickly begins heading towards the cave she learned of, while Brian comes out and waves Agnar and Mikkel to come in quick.

Agnar and Mikkel run towards the sewer. As they're in Mikkel sighs

You know Agnar, I'm used to much simpler things.

Brian nods.

Yeah, im honestly tempted to just hop back on my ship and leave. I hate dealing with this sort of stuff.

Ellen just shrugs as she floats there.

I mean, i think me and Emily could solve this problem with the 2 of us. Emily asked her mage friends if they could help, but all of them said no-even Veera. None of them have much love for the religious especially pastors, so they probably don't see much reason to get rid of undead who seem to kill only the religious.

Frank walks over to the Agnar and Mikkel and waves.

Heya, im Frank.

A slight chill washes over everyone as Frank goes to a nearby grate and whispers

This place has a good view of the center of the port, where the main spectre hangs out sometimes, can always tell when it shows up as things get cold for a bit. Come take a quick look-its a horrible sight.

He waves everyone over to look at it, and he can see Emily up there too looking at it curiosly. Its quite large and horrifying. Its roughly 20 feet tall, half bone, half rotten flesh, its eyes are hellish red, and when it looks into the grate staring at the group, the whispers are heard again, and they quickly turn into painful shrieks, and it feels as if nails were being hammered into their heads, until Ellen flies out, punches the spectre and flies off, with it in hot pursuit.
