Frank just shrugs.

I already told you I havn't heard about it, and honestly after hearing about it from you, I don't think it would happen. As I said, I am an idiot, and even I can see that doing that would just be a stupid pointless idea. And lets say that it does happen and they make the coalition. We would see a huge giant fleet like that coming long before they reach the Caribbean, and even a complete idiot like me would know to either hightail it outta here, or go into hiding.

jimmy nods.

Aye, frank is right, for once. Such an idea is more or less doomed before it starts, so it probably won't happen, and if it does we would see it coming miles away.

Frank just smiles.

Aw cheer up mate. Just remember that no matter what, things could always be worse. You know if you still want tea, you could probably hit the governor's mansion for it, or raid the trade ship that delivers it. It's always the same ship around the same time.

Another pirate looks interested.

Whats the ships name and what time does it show up.

Frank shouts back.

Mate, did you forget that I told everyone that I can't read? How in the world would I know the name of the bloody ship? Its a Brig with a pink flag with a flower on it, and it shows up every Sunday.

roberts shakes his head.

Nay, too much risk for something to little. Besides, I don't attack on the sabbath anyway.

Frank nods.

Well that's respectable. I never bother raiding it either, since I hear its captains a woman. And my mother told me if I go steal from a woman, or hurt a woman for no reason she would beat me to death when she finds out.

one of Franks crew looks confused.

Ain't your mother dead mate.

Frank nods.

Aye, but as tough as she was wouldn't surprise me if she came back to keep that promise. And even if she didn't I know she'd be waiting for me on the other side, and id rather not find out what happens when you get beat to death after already dying.

Roberts does a double take.

A female captain?! What the hell? How, pray tell, did that happen?

Frank just shrugs.

I dont know. I never raided the vessel or met the woman. Hell it could just be a rumor honestly, but since i don't want to chance angering and hurting a woman, and meeting me mother and getting a beating, i don't intend to find out. Think i heard she inherited the ship from her father or husband, and went and got her a crew. Though I heard another rumor that she isn't the actual captain, but the first mate and captain's wife, but she has the bloke wrapped around her finger so they treat her as captain. And i think another rumor is that its just a very feminine looking man posing as a woman for whatever reason. But honestly don't matter to me, good for her to have such a position, hell im a firm believer that just about anything a man can do a woman can too.

Frank nods

Certainly not something you'd see every day.

The tavern door swings open as a young man quickly comes inside and shouts.

Hey, everyone, i just got word a pretty large heavily armed fleet is coming, and they seem to be pirate hunters.

Frank looks out a window and can see the fleet on the horizon. No time to sail away. He then quickly pours the rest of his rum on his body, tears his clothes into rags and quickly dirties up his face and clothes. He then grabs a bowl, and says to jimmy.

Ill give ya back the bowl once the hunters are gone, if anyone asks im John Johnny Johnson the 2nd, and im just the local drunk and beggar.

jimmy nods as frank sits outside on the streets with the bowl in his hand. He looks nothing like he did moments ago. Jimmy casually remarks to bart.

man might be an idiot but he can be clever when he needs to.
