for me, this discussion went very quickly beyond phoenix offer and dealt with the 'unfairness' of the prices at the voodoo auction. unfairness in the sense that the auction does not reflect the actual value when the cards are used.

take for example a howker with ID#1, the actual price from the shipwright is irrelevant for collectors of rare ships. they see the ship from a different perspective and value it maybe up to a 1000 credits.

it is the same with voodoo cards. What you get out of it by using the card is only one way of valuing that card. When people pay more than 'what they could get out of it by casting that card' then these people see that card from a different perspective and value it from their perspective.

imo it is the clash of different perspectives that drives this discussion

There are many sides to this discussion now. I'll stick to the "why comment on other's offers" part.

I comment on such offers to help newer players compare this to what they can get in the market. Many players do not know how to use the market, and how to sell cards for credits and credits for gold. Nor do they know the value of various cards in the market. So I think they deserve comments like this to be able to compare offers.

I could also have ulterior motives for wanting the cards to be sold on the market rather than through such deals, of course. You never know with the T'zak Ryn.

It is a noble effort I would say but if you are not taking the offer or making a counter offer, then I would say this needs to go into the tutorial forum!
I think the credit market is going to show the discrepancy and everyone will start to evaluate gold, credits and cards collectively.

I was under the impression this was an essentially public forum : if you post, expect replies : there is no button which dictates replies can only be positive or supportive of the OP.

I do kinda resent the notion that I must not give my opinion just because its not positive or supportive : otherwise, lets can the forums, lets just have a twitter feed with a like button which gives a bigs thumbs-up emoji or a dislike button which gets ignored.

There may be an equal amount of "black death" cards up for auction on the following ports: Baramas, Tortouga, Regis and Seaglory.

Price on cards may be double of what topic starter offers.
