The ships are quickly prepared and they begin to sail east to Valorim. Eloth and Zephyra keep their eyes focused on the water and the horizon, wary of any more tricks. The admiral shouts a few orders

Make sure to keep an eye out lads. Last thing we want is to be blindsided. Should only take a few hours to get to Valorim, so if the enemy is within that area we should be spotting them rather quickly.

Jack stands near the rail with a spyglass, James stands in the crows nest helping the lookout and talking to him in Spanish. James says:

You were freed from a galley when?

the lookout, who wears a midshipman's uniform but is in his mid twenties, speaks while scanning the horizon with extreme attentiveness.

Two years ago. I managed to start a successful mutiny, in which we tossed those dogs of officers into the sea. We brought the galley back to Spain, and because of the wealth in her I had enough money to buy an officers commission. Which is why I am a midshipman and in my twenties. I'll probably be made lieutenant if I survive these next few battles.

Fr. Michael stands on the bowsprit, helping some sailors there

After about 3 hours, Valorim is seen in the distance. No hostile ships are seen near it, though many of the ships that were Jacks appear to have been beached onto the land. Many of the smaller buildings have been toppled, though the larger stone ones are simply damaged but still standing. All the glass is shattered as well. The admiral points to the island and says to Jack

Go see what all is salvagable. Maybe try finding that golem thing to help you bring the ships back to sea. Sweet mother of mine though, this is some crazy damage.

Jack and his men go ashore to see what they can find, Michael goes into the shore. some men find the Emilia and ask her help with ships. The stores seem to be intact and there's plenty of food, including the cattle, they're some extra cannon but not enough to completely rebuild the shore guns. Jack surveys the damage

This is going to cost me a ridiculous sum.

Emilia looks to the men who found her as she sifts through some rubble in the upper caves.

Fine, it's not like i can fix the giant bloody hole in the upper caves anyway, and it's pretty clear mother was more or less turned to dust, so no hope of finding any bits of her.

Emilia heads to the lower caves and comes back with a large hord of various golems. She shouts out several orders, and they all get to work. The larger ones help carry the ships back to the ocean, and handle clearing out the large debris, while smaller ones quickly get to work repairing damage done. She shouts to Jack

Some good news for you is that you won't be needing to pay for workers. Me and the lesser golems should have this place fixed up pretty quick. We don't need sleep or food or any of that crap so we can easily work 24/7 more or less. Granted we can't make stuff from nothing, so whatever is destroyed will be needing replaced. Maybe try stealing stuff from those pricks who attacked. And if you want, I can lend some golems to help out in the fighting, along with one of my 2 sisters. Since old mother is currently dead, that makes me in charge til she gets back.

james says:

I wonder how the ships got on shore one the first place...

Jack says:

Thank you Emilia, I'll send some men to see if they admiral wants any golems.

A man is sent to the admiral asking if he wants any golems.

Emilia points to the large hole now in the upper cave of the lair.

Well, based on what I can tell from the wreckage I looked through and what I know of magic, I think it's safe to say that when mother saw that the explosion was gonna happen no matter what, she centered it on her, then directed that energy east-while sending us west. This obviously made a huge bloody hole on the east side of the hill, and it also probably made a huge wave going eastward, then when the tides came back west it probably swept some ships on shore. Either that, or some residual magic mucked up the ships placement-magic can be weird sometimes.

The admiral responds that some golems would be nice, along with whatever extra help can be provide. Emilia sends a message to one of her sisters.

Ill let Ellenor help you out. Mother is not good at naming us honestly, literally named each of us after her, ellen and veera. Unless you got any questions or requests ill get back to work.

After a while a small group of large golems are delivered to the admiral along with a very large wraith like being. Roughly about the same height of Emilia, albeit very thin, shrouded in a black cloak, and with very dark red eyes. Emilie points at it.

This is Ellenor, mother made her sometime after me. I figure if that ghost b*tch comes back to trouble you guys, she can do something about her. Because as much as I hate to admit it, I simply can't hurt something I can't touch, and last time I saw that ghost she literally made me smash you guys. And just so you guys don't go freaking out over her, let me tell you she ain't nothing demonic or evil, so don't be grabbing no bibles or saying any prayers. Mother made her after that bloody spirit caused you and her all that trouble and she wanted something to fight back with.

Also Jack, before we go and do something you might not like, if you want, we could probably also build up some walls along the island and fortify it a bit better then it was if you want. But wanted to check if you want that or not. Otherwise we'll just put it how it was.

Jack says

I believe it's defended, at least with people on the island, Pretty well. I don't think a wall is necessary. But thank you though.
