[Meliva]

With the last ship gone, the path to the Hideout is clear, from here many figures can be seen pulling back deeper into the fortifications.

[Jack Teach]

The golden ship sails over and begins bombarding the fortifications, quickly rendering any gun batteries unusable. The ship continues keep up a constant hail of fire, as the sailors only have to run the guns out again and touch the slow match to the hole to fire the gun, and soon half of the fortifications are either on fire or destroyed completely.

[Meliva]

Mel raises a finger

Uh, maybe stop bombarding them now and move in to storm the place. If we aren't careful, we might destroy that paper we're here to retrieve. We can then bombard it to dust as we leave.

[Jack Teach]

Jack nods.

I apologize, nearly forgot. I was having too much fun.

Jack looks to his quartermaster

Lower the longboats, issue muskets to all hands. Keep some men on a few cannon to launch shot near the area we're going to land so to discourage any foolish ambush attempts.

The men are armed, Jack puts on his several pistols and knives and checks his cutlass. Everyone gets into a longboats and they row ashore.

[Meliva]

Mel hops aboard one of the longboats as they row ashore. They land without any issue. Nearby a small tunnel can be seen leading to underground chambers, Mel points to them

Looks like they went underground once the bombarding started. That's probably where the paper is and the leader of this place. Probably waiting to ambush us. I suggest we bust open the door and toss in a small explosive to clear the room.

[Jack Teach]

Jack nods and the men proceed in a loose formation down the wall, muskets held at the ready. Jack holds a heavy pistol in one hand a cutlass with a clipped point in the other, looking around for any signs of trouble.

[Meliva]

The tunnel leads into a rather large fancy chamber, with 2 paths leading further in. One is labelled Cells, the other throne room. Inside this room it appears to be a ritual chamber. A large altar is in the center, with a lot of blood, both dried and fresh on it, about a dozen men along with some lesser demons launch an attack on the group.

[Jack Teach]

[i]The pirates fire their muskets and then switch to their bayonets, many men fall very quickly. Jack fires all of his six pistols at the demon and then begins to fight with a dirk and cutlass. Four sailors corner Jack, one hits him in the back of the head with a cudgel, another swipes at him with a sword, which glances along his right shoulder, the other two are shot before they can act. Jack staggers a bit and then keeps on fighting, though not as effectively as before, wincing with every sword swing.[i]

[Meliva]

Mel zaps several of them with lightning, focusing on the demons. After a brief and bloody battle, the room is cleared. Mel goes to Jack and hands him a potion along with a few more to other injured men

Here this should patch you up. What next? See if they got anyone in the cells, or go straight to the throne room? I don't like the idea of splitting up.
