it wouldn't explode due to the water from earlier making any sort of gunpowder useless. Not to mention they had already fled before you had a chance to shoot.
Its quite possible that they may be somewhat more dry now. I was also imagining this was a magical item, or at least something that didn't use gunpowder. And you said they run towards the temple, not that they reach it. the idea is jack shoots in between them as they run
that's not how gunpowder works. Once it gets wet its more or less useless forever. Well maybe not more modern types but back in this day-that powder won't work ever again. Also, I find it rather hypocritical for jack to suddenly out of the blue decide to use a magic item because its suddenly convenient, and never even bothering to mention in any way he grabbed a magic crossbow-hell back when I was giving out prizes I did mention anyone could ask for magical items-he chose gold every time. And when they fled toward the temple they moved out of range rather quickly due to some items of their own and darting behind cover as soon as possible.
i am awfully confused what happened?
On the first point may I have a source? Secondly, he could've got it from a mage on the sideline, we never specified where the potions came from he could've got it from the same place. Thirdly, you did not specify that in your post, you gave no indication of them being out of range. You did not say they found cover and used items to get out of range.

Theres your link. Yes, I didn't specify how they got out of range, just like you didn't specify how you got a magic crossbow out of nowhere. It seems like your only saying it is magic because I pointed out gunpowder wouldn't work, but for a very long time Jack has REPEATEDLY criticized magic, refused to use it, hell he outright claimed that he would toss that demonslaying sword in the ocean if it was purely magic based, and now all of a sudden he just decided to bring a magic crossbow?
]he's using magic potions. He's never done that before. Hes making exceptions for this giant battle clearly
he has used potions before. He used them quite a bit during the story with the plague and in another story I can't remember exactly, his reasoning was something along the lines of it being a more natural form of magic if I recall correctly, but as I said before-he straight up said he would rather toss his sword if it was magic then use it-and that was during the catastrophe story-which was after the plague but before this one. So for him to now use magic weapons again just seems like you only say that because I pointed out gunpowder won't work anymore.
i actually thought of it before
