One gun exposing can kill half the crew on its respective deck.
also I had no way of knowing this before hand
EDIT: seems a bit unfair

so would you prefer me to change it and say your ship is blown to pieces and nearly everyone dies? Don't look a gift horse in the mouth jack, because If I went and said the the former happened first you would be saying that your ships shouldn't be wiped out just like that and be asking me to change something. If your prefer we can just say that by some unknown miracle your ship didn't get blown to pieces despite the explosions. Regardless, the fumes would cause an explosion where a fire was lit, and your cannons made that fire. Therefore an explosion would happen in those areas.
Edit- I sort of assumed you would know that bad smells mean some sort of gas, and that it would be crazy to fire at them. I don't know what grade your in, but I recall being taught that if you smell something strange it could be gas and to not make any fire.
we can retroactively change it if you want. I assumed you knew about that, but if you really didn't then we can change it to where Jack realizes the gas could be combustible, or that Emilia's warning happened before they fired and he called it off.
regardless of what grade I'm in, I'm an awful chemist. I didn't know toxic fumes could cause explosions. Your suggestion would be excellent
