Role-Play- Party In Pania

[DezNutz]

John looks at Rogziel and gives a sigh of relief.

That's good to know. Well, everyone else has fled. It is just you and me.

John grabs 2 chairs and sits down to rest. He pulls a bottle of whiskey out of his coat.

Care for a drink?

[D00T]

Sure

[DezNutz]

John takes a swig and hands Rogziel the bottle.

Looks like the storm is easing up. I say we give it an hour or so and then we move out, as well. There is a boat house just north of here on the lake. It will let us get to the fishing village on the other side of the lake where we can catch a ride to elsewhere in Avonmora. Beats walking and I'm not interested in waiting for the waters to completely reside in town. You can come with me, or go your own way, but you can't stay here.


John stands up and heads down into the cellar. He starts moving some barrels of gunpowder up into the first floor area of the tavern setting them in strategic locations to ensure the tavern doesn't survive.

[D00T]

As John leaves, Rogzlel suddenly disappears...

[DezNutz]

John comes back up with a barrel of gunpowder and realizes that Rogziel is gone. John quickly finishes setting the gunpowder and a powder trail to the cellar.

John lights the powder and seals the secret cellar door.

John quickly makes his way down the stairs and the hallway passing the gun emplacements.

As John enters one of the emergency exit tunnels, a loud boom is heard and the ground shakes violently.

The tavern explodes blowing out rock and debris everywhere. Some the of the tavern collapses in on itself covering and sealing the cellar.

The explosion can be heard from a considerable distance. A smoke cloud rises from the ground where the pirate tavern once stood.

As Jack and his men swim through the flooded plains the rain starts to ease up. One of his men shout they see a ship. A small cutter is fast approaching, as it gets closer it stops near Jack, and a rope ladder is tossed down. Ellen and Kaipur pop their head over the railing. Ellen shouts.

Hey Jack, I ran into Kaipur and his friends here and they told me you could use a lift.

Emily walks by and stands next to her sister and shouts.

Yeah it was the craziest thing, we decided to stop by Pania for the party and the bloody port was flooded and dead. So we started looking around and found Kaipur here. Half his group were eaten by sharks sadly. But that's life for ya.

[Jack Teach]

Jack gets up the boat with his men.

Thank you, you most definitely saved our lives. My ship is along the coast, can you take me there?

[Meliva]

Ellen nods.

Sure thing. We need to get out of here fast anyway. Once these flood waters recede this will be land again.

Ellen and her crew quickly begin sailing towards the coast, keeping an eye out for Jack's ship while they do so.

[Jack Teach]

Jack points out to sea.

Sail ho! Wait a minute...

Before the eyes of the crew are two corvettes coming towards them, they are flying MERC colors. Their gunports are opened and the decks of the ships appear to be cleared for action. Jack's ship is nowhere to be seen, as it's much further down the coast. Jack knows his ship can't have been sunk, as two corvettes would not dare to engage such a massive ship. All he knows is that they are in trouble.

[Meliva]

Ellen quickly steers her ship around and begins heading back where they came from. The 2 corvettes follow and they slowly begin to catch up. Ellen is confused and she shouts

How the bloody hell are they catching up to us, my ship should be leaving them in the dust.

Ellen then quickly realizes something and she says in a quieter voice.

Its because of all the people on board- we are carrying way more weight then normal.

She looks back to the corvettes getting closer. She then has a sudden idea. She quickly turns the ship to head inland and she say to Jack.

I have an idea, we can head in land and when the water gets shallow enough we quickly head back to sea and the 2 corvettes will be stuck on land. But I need you to measure the water so we don't get stuck. There should be a large pole somewhere, find it and keep an eye on the water.
