RP- Invasion of Colisquia

[Meliva]

Veera reappears with a few men she rescued from another cellblock, while the group quickly frees the remaining ones in this area. She quickly leads the group into the next area, down a set of stairs into a very large cavern, with giant crystal pillars along the walls, with various runes and lines on the ground, all of them glowing brightly. Several robed figures stand around fiddling with objects and items, along with quite a few more guards. THey see the group and quickly move in to fight, the robed figures casting spells as Veera moves forward countering them. She takes out a rod and tosses it to James

You or one of the men need to shove that thing into each of these pillars. Then we can get the hell outta here. And be quick.

From the nearby stairs more dag begin to show up, the rescued men moving forward to fight them back.

[Jack Teach]

James goes about jamming the pole into the pillars, hacking or shooting anyone ho gets in his way.

[Meliva]

Each pillar shakes slightly, and then starts glowing brighter after James uses the rod on them. The temperature in the room starts to rise, slowly at first then faster, as nearly everyone starts to sweat. The lines and runes glow brighter and after some time are nearly blinding. The robed figures see this, and a few of them quickly interact with a nearby panel, and a bright light flashes, blinding everyone, and once things fade back, the figures are gone, along with the remaining crystals. The temperature continues to rise, as the nearby walls start to melt, Veera shouts to the others as she starts running back the way they came, fighting those in her way.

Alright, let's leave, this whole place will either melt or blow up. And i don't intend to stick around to see which happens. Back to the rowboat.

The dag break through the barrier, and Eloth can be seen being swarmed by them, struggling to fight them off. Back in the fleet, the fort glows brighter, though many of the cannons stop firing as the guards quickly begin evacuating. Only the Dag seem intent to continue the fight.

[Jack Teach]

James helps eloth to fight them off, slashing furiusosly before running back to the rowboat.

[Meliva]

The dag begin to pursue, but stop after a loud voice shouts in a bizarre language. They then quickly move back towards the teleport room and enter a large red portal. Once on the rowboat, the slaves take a nearby cutter and quickly begin sailing out. As they get near the fleet, a deafening sound is heard, as a bright light quickly erupts from the fort, Veera quickly raises her hands, closes her eyes and puts up a shield, as the blast pushes the 2 ships straight towards the fleet at breakneck speed, and then pushes the fleet clear out to sea, shattering the hulls of many, tearing the sails to bits and causing massive damage. Veera pants exhausted, her flesh pitch black- having been severely burned, her breathing is haggard as she falls to her knees and vomits.

Sweet mother of mine I didn't think we'd live.

Eloth nods to her a bit worried

You alright there cuz?

Veera laughs bitterly

Yeah, I'm fan-f*cking-tastic. I like having my flesh burned to a bloody crisp. NO I'M NOT ALRIGHT. I might be a masochist but even I have my damn limits. Get my a healing potion from the stash.

Zephyra on a ship gets up having been knocked down and examines the damage. She sighs in relief

We should be able to patch up the remaining ships enough to get home. Mission successful by the look of it.

[Jack Teach]

James says

We still have to deter them from coming back into Avonmora again. We still need to storm the city.

[Meliva]

Veera looks to James as she starts drinking the potion.

Mate, did you not see that bloody blast? Do you think it only affected us and our fleet? That blast decimated anything near the fort easily. But I suppose it would be wise to land back onto the island and comb over it. City could have had protective magic. And there may be items to retrieve of value.

But, I will leave that to all of you. As you can see I am in incredible bloody pain right now, and this potion is no where near strong enough to fix me up for another mission. So I'm just gonna go sleep for a while. Eloth come get me when your done.

Veera stands up, the smell of burnt flesh strong in the air causing a few to gag as she limps over to a chest takes out a single blue crystal, touches it to her head, and is wrapped in a crystal pod that thumps to the floor. Eloth looks to the island where the fort lay and nod to James

Send a message to the admiral to join us. We no longer need to worry about an threats on the sea and can land safely on the island. I'm sure Jack and my sister wouldn't wanna miss any more action.

[Jack Teach]

James nods and signals. The ships begin to slowly move to a place of safe anchorage.

[Meliva]

The fleet docks, Eloth checks over the ruined fort, finding nothing, roughly a mile in land the city can be seen, the wall surrounding it badly damaged, though numerous artillery are being runned out, along with cannons. As well as a large horde of dag warriors, charging forward full speed, smiling wide, Eloth sees this and notices that many of them have children strapped to their backs, and mumbles under his breath

Crazy bloody bast*rds. They don't even value their children. What is wrong with them.

The admiral looks at this with horror, before giving his command

We don't have a choice-fire, and hope that we don't need to kill all of them. Maybe they aren't really children and just props, or goblins.

The men line up with muskets. Upon Jack's signal they fire, cutting down a good many. They then fire a second volley and charge, not having time to load again, they put their bayonets to good uses, jack slahses with his bright sword.
