Vune laughs at his language.

Been a while since i heard language like that-you'd fit right in with demons. You sure your religious? Regardless you won't be good friends with Spain very long either.

She tosses the spyglass she took from Jack to him and tells him to look. Once he does he see's the fake raiding the Spanish port of Vaasburg-and is currently burning down their largest cathedral and slaughtering the priests. She takes the spyglass back before chuckling

In case you havn't figured it out yet-the fake is planning to ruin your reputation and make any friends you have into enemies. You should hurry. He plans to go and try to burn down Vatican City next.

Brian quickly begins sailing back to the rest of Jack's fleet, as the Isle of man scouts draw closer.

Jack turns to brian

Why? Why is this happening?

Problem: there is no way on God's green earth, that jack, could somehow convince his men, who are mostly Irish and English catholics, to burn down a cathedral, let alone the vatican! There is no way he could justify it, his men have been with him for awhile they know how much he values the faith and the church, he's the kind of guy that'd shoot you for joking during a service, they KNOW this, so there is absolutely no way that this could reasonably occur. His men would leave if ordered to do this. If he ordered this, the majority of his company would leave, not just some, more than 3 fourths of his company would leave.

There is a reason why he managed to get the men to do it, and its sort of a spoiler but ill share it with you since you want a reason how he got them to do it.

Emily said that she knew that the fake had quite a few magic items, though what they all were she didn't know. But one of them, is something that allowed him to slowly corrupt and overtake the minds of the men. it was a potion that he kept spiking into all the food, and rum.

Brian looks to Jack confused.

Why the hell are you asking me? Vune's the one you should be asking that to. I don't know any more then you do about this.

The authorities would realize that something is up. It's common knowledge that he's a catholic, so the authorities MIGHT think that he's an imposter, an exceedingly clever imposter but an imposter nonetheless. they would notice the complete lack of ANY morals whatsoever.

Jack sighs

Nothing.

Sure, they might think he's an imposter, but what would that change? They would still want to catch and kill the one who did this, and they have no way of telling them apart-they look the exact same. Not to mention people change. They may assume that something caused him to become furious with the catholic church, or maybe he went insane, or is being brainwashed or controlled-they have no way of knowing why this is happening. But ultimately what they do know is that someone who looks exactly like Jack, and who is claiming to be Jack, and has ships that belong to Jack and men who work for Jack, is burning down and raiding ports-the why and how doesn't matter, what would matter to them is catching the culprit and all signs point to Jack.

Jack scowls. He sends a letter via carrier pigeon to a rather important person whom Jack has been recently been being friendly with, vice admiral of the white, lord John Cochraine, commander of all British ships in Avonmora. His eyes go wide as he reads the thing, he gets up and calls to his steward

Send a message to the Vatican, tell them there's an imposter about. There is a very accurate and dangerous poser of my friend running around, he tells me the man that just attacked the spanish port was not him. Hurry now, send out word to all out ports as well the vatican.

The message reaches all the ports it was sent to without hinderance

As the steward turns to do his job, he is frozen in ice, moments later Cochraine is frozen as well. Veera comes in smiling, with Dow right behind her. She burns the letter Jack sent along and turns to Dow.

Wipe the last 5 minutes from their minds. And send a letter to the vatican in his name stating that Jack is coming with gifts for the Vatican and to let him in.

Dow nods and gets to work. Meanwhile back on Brian's cutter Vune just chuckles as she calls to Jack.

Your not very bright are you? The one responsible for all your troubles is right here next to you and you think I won't do anything if you send a message to your friends? Magic travels faster then any bird you know.

The Isle of man scout ships approach Jack's fleet, Brian tries to tell them what's happening, only for Vune to smile as she uses her magic to cause a row of cannons to blast one of the scout ships to pieces. The other quickly sails back and the fleet prepares to fight. Vune laughs as she teleports away.

Have fun you guys. And remember I'm watching.

This is unreasonable and unfair. I fully admit I have done similiar but this is rather...I mean, it's crazy enough that you have made a character which cannot in any way whatsoever be harmed. When jack does something that he shouldn't, the story sometimes punishes him for it, Veera never pays for anything and most likely never will

Veera and Vune can both be harmed, it just isn't easy to do so. And both will be facing some consequences in this story. And Veera has paid for things before. She gave various gifts and favors to Jack, Agnar and Brian when they first met out of guilt, and she's been punished by Vune before for breaking certain rules. But she and Vune both will be facing some consequences in this story soon.
