Veera notices the child pocket the ale, she smiles to herself at the boy's mischief. Bernard comes back up holding a large keg as he hears Jack asking for the rum. He saysto him in a deep almost growling voice

Mate, I'm an old bleedin man carrying a large keg of rum by meself with a bad leg, so you can bloody wait a bleedin few minutes for your damned rum.

Abigale laughs.

You will have to excuse both of them. They are always in a bad mood.

Veera rolls her eyes.

Well the world is a terrible crappy place, why would I be happy living in it.

A barmaid comes over with Jack's rum. and Bernard takes a seat to rest a bit, panting slightly as he mumbles to himself some more.

jack digs in his pockets and digs out a small bag of gold, more money than most people get in a weeks pay. He hands it to the barman. In Jack's line of work, it's not particularly extravagant.

Here you go mate, sorry about the griping.

Jack turns back to the two women.

Life is only bad if ye have no adventures...
jack looks out the window for a minute, grinning, the then turns back.

So, what are your names? Should probably know as my crew are busy with other things.

Abigale smiles and says in a polite voice.

Oh where are my manners, this drinking must have made me forget common courtesy. My name is Abigale Panselo, I'm the head nun at Panselo Orphanage. This sassy young woman here is one of my daughters, Veera Panselo.

Veera rolls her eyes and replies.

Foster daughter, she has no real children. And all an adventure is, is going out and seeing even more of this bloody rotten world.

Abigale chuckles.

Don't need a blood relation to be family sweetheart, all the orphans are my kids, whether you all like it or not. And this world isn't as bad as you always say it is.

Veera sighs as she gets up and begins to leave. She says back to Abigale.

I'm going home, this place is too damn happy for my taste, and if you don't plan to let me drink, I have better things to do.

As she leaves she mumbles something about finding those kids with the ale. Abigale watches her go, and sighs. She turns to Jack

You know its when the kids get to her age that I have the most trouble, but they all grow out of it eventually.

Abigale gives a sly smile at Jack, and says in a motherly tone.

Child, don't you know its a bad thing to lie to a nun.

She laughs a little before continuing.

But if you don't wanna share your name thats fine by me. But you might want to practice your lies a bit, especially if you wanna fool someone like me. If i had a coin for everytime i caught an orphan lying, i would be richer then all the kings on this earth.

Jack laughs.

Well, I'll show me true colors when the time comes. But for now, call me or jack, or Roberts if you like. May I ask, what order do you belong too Sister?

Abigale replies.

I belong to a local order that I myself started along with 11 other nuns about 40 years ago called the Order of the United Faith. You see, when you divide us Christians up into different groups- protestants, Catholics, and all other groups, and have them arguing, fighting and even killing each other, all your doing is shedding the blood of your brothers and sisters, disappointing our father and making Lucifer happy. At the end of the day we all worship the same god, and even if we have different views on how to worship our please him, we shouldn't fight each other over it. Why more people don't see that I honestly don't know.

Ellen sighs a bit sadly.

Yes sadly my order isn't well known, in part because of how stubborn some people can be in their faiths, they seem to be adamant about proving "their" way of worship it the right way, and thus Catholics fight the protestants and vice versa, neither side willing to sit down with the other and just talk things out and come to an understanding. Nothing would please me more then if the schism of Christianity was undone and we all came united-but due to our prideful nature that won't happen.

On a lighter note, there is great cause for celebration, the governor recenly married a lovely young woman, and thus this celebration was thrown. They make a lovely couple, I actually even helped raise the bride, she was such an angel growing up. Its always so sad when they leave to go on their own adventure or path, but its heartwarming at the same time.
