A man walks into the tavern. His face is mostly covered. He walks up to the bar and drops a few coin on the counter.

Give me some whiskey and something to eat.

Kaipur looks to Jack and shrugs.

Don't know what they are. Normally only pirates, bums, or some other sort of shady individual come in here, but I don't ask who they are or what they do. So long as anyone who comes in pays for their drinks meals and rooms and don't cause no trouble you could be the devil himself and I wouldn't care.

Kaipur looks at the new arrival. He quickly gives him some whiskey

Food will take a while. All the usual help is off partying so i gotta go back to the kitchen and make it myself. Don't expect it to be very good either.

Kaipur then walks into the kitchen and begins cooking leaving the man and Jack alone for a while.

Jack turns to the newcomer.

May I enquire of your name, Sir?

The man nods and takes a swig of his whiskey.

I can wait for food and it doesn't have to be anything special or fancy. I'd be happy with a sandwich if you have it.

Looks at Jack and chuckles.

You just called me it.

I'd ask for your name, but that would be pointless since your face is plastered on every town in Avonmora.

Takes another swig of whiskey

You can call me John.

Jack takes a swig of rum.

So, John, why aren't out there enjoying the festivities?

Kaipur comes back out with a large tray filled with sandwiches. He sets it behind the bar and hands one to John. He says in a raised voice to all the patrons.

I Decided id rather not have to go back into the kitchen every time someone asks for food, so if you want to buy something to eat, you can buy a sandwich. Anything else will cost extra.

Then in his normal speaking voice he says to Jack and John.

So what brings you 2 to Pania. If you came to enjoy the festival this sure as hell ain't the right place for it.

[Jack Teach]

Jack looks up.

I came here because this happens to be place to get rich right now...

Looks at Kaipur, finishes the glass. Tosses a small pile of coins on the counter.

Another, and leave the bottle.

Grabs a sandwich

I'm here for the festival just not the partying part.

Kaipur hands him the bottle.

I don't see how you plan to get rich off the festival. Well unless you intend to swindle all the drunkards outta there coins. Though honestly you wouldn't make much doing that unless you stole from a whole lotta them. And that would definitely attract some guards who would run ya outta town. Governor even went and hired some mercs and bounty hunters as extra security. Most of them though hang around the governor's mansion or other fancy buildings in the better part of towns.
