Getting all those ships in 6 months doesnt make you the best merchant. It makes you a dam good pirate.

Captain D is probably the best seeing as he has always been a merchant and constantly gets the best(or one of the best) routes every update.

Capt D's merchant fleet is pretty solid tho. no question there

Cpt Dungeness and Cpt Redbone for a lot of reasons.

I am also throwing in Shaydo and Cpt Da Vinci although I do not know details. However, I have seen some impressing records on Demographics page.

What Zombie says is true. He holds the record for most ships at one time. When he was running his trading routes he was making more daily trade profit than me. I know because we compared notes then. In 3 measurement he may be the most successful pirate: he currently has the most buried treasure of any pirate, he was able to collect the most trade ships I have ever seen, and he seems to provoke the most forum hate in the history of the game (even more than Admiral Nelson). Those are marks of a true pirate. He's obviously not the most feared pirate but at the very least he has been successful. As for being a merchant..... I would say not.

That sounded like you were legitimating why Zombie_Jesus was the best pirate of all time, or at least most successful. I never actually thought about this but what you say is true. This isn't the thread for that, but his achievements are unparalleled. Hall of Fame even. His success is often ignored, overshadowed, and forgotten. Maybe another forum can be the request to add him to the unofficial player made hall of fame.

captain davinci will soon break the record of having the most ships through trading..but for now i would say it is still captain dungeness..a month or so, it would be captain davinci according to my own prediction..but if all trader will become lax, then i will be the one.
