To be honest, I am not bothered by the Karen joke, nor the advisor one.

I do wonder why the announced name change is not seen to breach game rules on appropriate language, given the general rule to keep things 'family friendly'.

Post-modernist irony, one assumes. One only hopes it doesn't set dboys knee jerking.

There-in lies the problem. Inconsistent drawing of lines : like a drunk doing lane markings, its bound to lead to confusion.

Part of the problem with words like 'butt' or 'twat' is that they dont carry the same connotation in all cultures. In the UK the word 'butt' is not commonly used in the US sense. It has various meanings, a barrel, a place to practice archery, a cigarette end, to push or shove, to strike out, to knock.

Likewise 'twat', only recently has the US connotation become common usage. Previously it just meant a fool.

So, yes, where is a commonly accepted line to be drawn?

But context does matter and to draw a line when context and connotation can change the interpretation is a hard if not impossible task.
