I never said no one should attack, my view is quite the opposite especially given my past. "My point" is the level of acceptance here is shocking. I took another players MoW a while back because they cast a disfavor on my fleet, hit me twice and lost both times. I didn't lose but I still took their ship simply because I don't like any form of voodoo cast on me. I would react similarly to any situation.

I didn't say that everyone should just accept an attack or at what point they should consider it acceptable. I said that hostility (which at minimum an action would cause 10 hostility) doesn't mean a violation has occurred. You can't treat hostility as a violation. Perfect example: What happens when play X who may have 100s of hostility with your nation joins a nation you are at peace with. That hostility follows the player. Are you going to declare war on the other nation because a player who had hostility against your nation joined a nation that you were at peace with.

That's funny. You don't like any form of voodoo cast on you, but I'm sure that you have pulled the trigger first on a number of players.

Not at all, but if they were part of their new nation and attacked mine which was at peace with theirs, I'd not take it lightly.

Absolutely I have, again.. what we tolerate and what we are able to enforce.

I see a lot of replies from people that I think are better off in a traders game. Set up trade routes, make peace, drink tea. This is a pirates game. Lately I have only seen things develop to counter the game title.

+1

But there are things for us "counter culture" types coming soon I hope.

LMFAO.

Hey Genius, Traders are a necessary part of a pirate game. What do you think pirates pirated?

There will always be more traders than pirates. There has to be. As well, piracy isn't supposed to easy. If it was, the game would collapse as no one would want to play as a trader.

Since the earlier remark was not enough for the slower visitors. I think the game is getting jammed by the current development in progress. Honor preventing players to rank in ports. Treaties to prevent entire nations to be attacked. Just a hand full ruling the entire game.

Then join your own nation, take over ports, and set your own laws. Then you won't have to worry about diplomacy getting in the way of your citizen's nations missions and you can "run the world" as you see fit. Until then, things will continue as they are.

The only thing preventing you from ranking is yourself, you control the actions that you take and how quickly those actions are taken. Hostility can be circumvented quite easily. How to do so was mentioned in this thread.

I'd be careful in regards to talking about them. They have rules and don't like it when they are mentioned.
