Card Ideas - Combat

First of many one-time use combat card ideas. My goal is to out-date Call Leviathan, Drums of war, and Bless with voodoo that make the game interesting

(Uncommon) Chain Shot

Description:
Enchantment - Ship
Turn Cost: 10

Target a ship. The next ship that loses to that ship in combat is crippled and cannot repair for 12 hours


This was first suggested as a ship ability but I would much prefer it as a voodoo card for flexibility

Description:
Instant - Ship
Turn Cost: 20

Deals 10 - 50% damage to target ship

(Uncommon) Incendiary Shot

Description:
Enchantment - Ship
Turn Cost: 15

Target ship has a 50% chance to deal 100-500 damage to the next ship it battles. (Damage is dealt at the start of the round)

(Common) Ghost Crew

Description:
Enchantment - Ship
Turn Cost: 3
Duration: 6 hours

Adds 25 crew to target ship. (Ignores max crew limits)

I am not sure how crew bonuses work but I think something like this would be a nice card to have

I am still too new to judge the merits of new cards, but it seems to me that if the game needs to move towards more wars/plunder Call Leviathan will always prevent it from happening. Protection for small players is a good thing, giving too much power to lazy/bad players is not good at all in my opinion. I realize many players are here only for the trade, but some joined for all aspects of the game - there is only that much trade I can personally do before getting bored out of my mind.

I don't know if I'm understanding quite right but aren't these just a bunch of Bless cards with variable degrees of enhancement?

Pretty much, except for the first one and Hellfire. As I said something along these lines would make combat more interesting and complex rather then "fleet attacks 10% better for 24 hours". Also if leviathan gets knocked there need to be some cards that can target a single ship and make it beatable

The ideas here (and I also refer to the concept of the ideas - you get a ton of new insights when you read these) are great and could become voodoo cards right away. However, we prefer to add some of the ideas as ship abilities and not as voodoo cards. This means that we need to rush ship abilities alongside with the rest of the planned updates.
